There has been solid evidence sent to me that a banned individual has been soliciting people for commissions. I won't name this person directly (though there are deets available on WG post 229 if you care to look) but this person is known for repeated ban evasions and for responding with threats, accusations of abuse, and hostility when they feel they are not getting what they want. It's also possible (though not solidly confirmed) that this person doesn't actually have access to money to pay for said commissions.

Ultimately, if someone wants to work with this person, it's their choice- but let it be an informed one.

I'm sorta been in dwrp for a little bit now, but i've only been a meme player. Mostly because I play from.... not exactly obscure canons just ones with waning popularity because they've been over for several years and even when they were "new" they weren't quite as popular as other fandoms of the same medium (animanga)

So If I was to app some of my characters to games, is there anything I should know as someone new to games/would be lone canon warrior-ing likely? I already tend to not get many bites with my characters on memes, so i'm worried about actually making AC.

I'm also a tad bit nervous of the apping process, especially since i'm SURE the people running games now are 100 percent going to be canon-blind to my muses, and i'm worried of bogging down my apps with TMI assuming that.

So, thoughts on good friendly games with relaxed environments to ease myself in?

Sci-Fantasy Resistance Game

Repost, because I wasn't sure if it only interested one person or if it was just put up too close to Christmas. Anyway.

Still fleshing this out, but the basic idea is of a spaceport on a broken planet that has been taken over by a parasitic alien species that requires living people with certain characteristics to use as a catalyst or vessel so they can reproduce. Not in the sexy way. In the hollowed out no-longer-you-even-though-you-look-like-you way. After using up everyone who fit their purpose on the spaceport, they've taken to kidnapping people from other worlds etc. etc.

The premise would be characters pulled into this world, kidnapped, powers suppressed, about to be processed by these nasty invaders only to be rescued by a growing underground resistance/rebellion at the last moment and whisked off to their rebel camp. They are then asked if they want to join the resistance to help them get their homes back, and once they win they will use the alien tech to send everyone home (if they want to go).

The game would be mission-based with a small cap of 30 players/60 characters, apps every 2 months, and with a very dynamic setting and plot that gives players a lot of leeway to make drastic changes to both. Characters would ICly have the option to have their powers nerfed or to become un-nerfed with pros and cons to each choice. Missions would include stealth intel-gathering, sabotage, creating propaganda, infiltrating, stealing supplies, fighting, an ongoing alternating mission of finding where new people are arriving and then rescuing them every two months, and other revolution type things. Missions would have a brief description and then players could either plot them out completely or ask for mod handholding on the plotting post, either would be fine. AC would be 20 comments per month across 2 or 3 threads, and missions would need to be threaded out at least halfway within two months to count as game-affecting.

It seems safer to do so - even if you have no intention of ship-pushing and are totally fine playing unrequited fluttery feelings, the other player can't know this without communication. There's too many weirdos who feel entitled to getting a ship that it might set off red flags to the other player unnecessarily.

I do. I keep track of game comms that way. It's easier for me to check one place in a layout I find easy to use than to check each individual comm and have to wrestle with a layout that may be really nice but is difficult for me to just skim through.
