Ship partner went from 'omg this sounds adorable let's do this thing!' to a bunch of vague plurks about wanting platonic threads only and wishing they could reboot their CR in just 1-2 days. Radio silence for weeks, all threads dropped, then they finally dropped the game without a word to me. Thanks for making me feel like shit.

Yeah, her outfit is meant to be a combo nazi + imperial japan thing because of the setting of the Imperial Holy Grail War. It isn't the shogun armor she would have been summoned in, its an outfit she put on during her Grail War, and her Grail War took place during the closing months of World War 2 and involved the German and Japanese militaries. It's pretty explicit in that aspect.

For the record, that story also involves Hitler being shot and GudaGuda 3, which was a loose adaptation of that story, went out of its way to not really touch on any of that stuff, so I'd hardly say anyone at type-moon is a Nazi sympathizer or historical revisionist, it's more just a function of playing fast and loose with iconography.

OTOH the bar in carnival phantasm being named after https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ahnenerbe is just weird.

i keep looking at game ads longingly because i love playing my main character so much, but every time i've tried to join a second game in recent memory it hasn't worked out (character was a poor fit, rl got too busy for me to keep up and so on)

so i'm doing the responsible thing and keeping to what i have but the thirst is real

thankfully I'm not really in a position with rp where I have huge looming expectations, all of my psls are super casual and most of the people on my tl for plurk will be doing nanowrimo too, and I'm not in a game. so really, I have no pressing, panic-inducing commitments... but there is the worry that psls will go stale if waits take too long!

I also have an issue with just jumping into writing without foreplanning - I don't need to plan every detail beforehand, but I think a lot of my end product for nanowrimo would be vignettes and lots of notes/ideas, instead of a bulk writing

I'm considering just going for it! I wish I'd had time to really think on it and do my pre-planning in October but man, I haven't even had the time to enjoy October, RIP, and my life is about to get crazier. but I also keep thinking that I have all of these ideas and I don't want to just die a person who wrote psls on dreamwidth and did nothing official with any of these ideas I had, meanwhile people self publish or just break out and get their product onto bookshelves and I am constantly thinking it's something I would love to attempt, but it's always 'I'll find time later'. I also rarely enjoy writing solo as much as I do roleplay...but at the end of the day I want to do something with what I'm creating.

November's going to be stupid crazy for me but I need to tell myself...if it's just something written, it's a start, and I need a stepping stone!

Is there a source on the Nazi outfit thing? It definitely looks like some of the WWII-era Japanese uniforms, but it doesn't look like a Nazi uniform any more than any other uniform would.

Or is it one of those things where they said that's what it was but didn't bother doing any research?

Sometimes just little bits, a snapshot of someone's life or parts of it can be a great thing to write/read as well. So there's definitely merit.

I am also having the issue with allowing myself to make time to write, but I think you really should just go for it. All you genuinely need is the end, and even then you can leave that open-ended, but you at least need a goal the story is working towards and honestly I find just letting what happens happen more enjoyable than forcing myself to keep to a tightly made outline, and I agree solo writing is less fun, but as you said, I two wish to do something with my ideas so good luck Anon!

unfortunately, some stalkers require their victims to do this in order to avoid their creepy fuck detection.

even something as simple as "isabella is a 23 year old girl born in california on february 6th who's a big fan of homestuck, supernatural, and markiplier" can be VERY identifying information. especially if someone is batshit enough and has enough free time to do a lot of digging.

if they know your email, what kind of usernames you'd use, any fandom info to rule others out as being you, it's a lot easier to find you.

i've tried contacting police about my stalker before and they had absolutely no problems laughing at me and treating me like i didn't know how a block button worked, like i was an idiot or something.

my stalker's the type to contact strangers and tell them "hey, anon said your art is trash!" or "wow, anon was right when they said you were an ugly dumbass" to get his own free army to harass me. the block function is simply useless to me in this case and i'm fortunate that i've hidden myself before tumblr became a thing. i have google alerts for my legal name because i always have that worry that he'll make a callout post... or some naive fool might talk about me and link him to me all over again.
