Even if the head is detachable it's easier to just rotate.

I love the memes like this or the one where they're asking for advice or forming a support group- something that can pull together characters from all sorts of canons easily. Plus it gives them a reason to interact from the getgo.

I know a lot of people jump on the Denny's one regularly. Why not come up with another one or two setting-inspired memes? There are so many amusing places characters could go wild in. A toy store for example. A grocery store.

I enjoy shipping of course but I have to agree that bs feels a little too flooded with shipping-only related memes. Some of them can definitely be converted to shipping-optional.

-The one related to self-care where characters can do each other's hair? No reason to mark it as necessarily romantic.

-Affection memes can just be called affection memes and then include more shippy prompts under the cut.

-Baby memes? People visit their pregnant friends and relatives or go to meet the newborn all the time. Give some love to the single parent option too.

-Dressing up in something special or sexy? Friends help friends shop.

It makes starting threads with unfamiliar characters easy, very good for tagging out.

back here again, with a re:creators-themed thought egg.

the basic plot of the series is a bunch of animanga, video game, etc. characters get pulled into the real world because someone else's creation wants to destroy it. they deal with the whole existential crisis of characters realizing their lives are made-up stories meant for people's entertainments, and they even meet their creators. creators are even able to rewrite their creations' abilities by gaining the public's approval (ie. accepting that it makes sense with the canon) and stuff like that.

translating this to dwrp shouldn't be too hard since the jamjar mechanics are already set but maybe instead of creators, it would be more focused on the one who roleplays the characters. players would be able to upgrade their characters by going through AC reward mechanics, and maybe through certain events, be able to interact with the characters (????). the plot will be heavily influenced by which direction the players want it to go, but of course that requires a lot of trust and minimal micromanagement from mods.

idek if something like this would work, but it's just a thought that's been cooking in my head since i watched the anime. i haven't had the chance to really worldbuild or anything since it's just a base idea but yeah.

Especially crosscanon. It’s such a joy unexpectedly finding and then exploring/“growing” surprise chemistry, digging into how characters tick in a way you can’t necessarily with other types of CR, and getting to write cute/dumb/silly/messed up/whatever you like love stories you can chat about and plot over with your RP/ship buddies.

I love the series and a game based off it sounds interesting.

Having said that, do you mean for there to be actual player avatars? Imo, casting a character as a creator might also be workable

nah i meant more as players being us rpers so we would function the same as the creators did in the series. there wouldn't be avatars per se, but characters would be aware that we exist and they'll know we're the ones who get to dictate what happens to them within the game.

having characters be creators would be interesting as well though, but not quite sure how it would work exactly.

- A clothing/beauty store. Let fashionista characters rip apart or give advice to the characters looking to get a replacement for the torn one out of their only two pairs of jeans. Does someone’s character have a knack for style ICly? Maybe they’re working behind the counter someplace and are just waiting to jump out at potential bonuses.
- You’re at a venue with open-mic music nights or a conservatory! Musically-inclined characters, get a jam session going! Non-musically-inclined characters, feel free to play with sounds or learn a thing or two from experts!
- It’s summer camp! Gather ‘round the campfire and tell scary stories, take a shortcut to the woods or a dip in the lake, hit the arts-and-crafts table, be a rebel and poke local wildlife or see what wild plants are good for grilling, go wherever the schedule takes you!
- “We need to crash in this shady and possibly haunted hotel for the night/ride this weird and possibly haunted train, the scenery from the windows of which look like our worlds or eldritch surroundings at night.”
- Characters trying to solve an escape room, any kind from Saw-style to perfectly innocent “game night with the pals”-style. (Preferably one of the players involved in the thread or a little gang of anons/players “hosting” the meme would be willing to GM.)
- Exploring (or just playing tourist) at ancient or mysterious ruins. Indiana Jones, enchanted or cursed treasure or inscriptions, or more haunting nonsense optional.
- Oops - your reality is experiencing technical difficulties! Please enjoy a complementary stay at this luxurious if dreamworldy jamjar resort while we get things back in order. Don’t worry - you won’t remember any of this later. Bringing your own toplevel prompts is preferred!

Found a game with a setting the character I want to play would fit in well with.

THE SURVEY meme: Unlike the Ask Me Anything meme where you have to wait for someone to reply with a question, how about a meme that gives several questions right off the bat? Your top level is your character's filled out survey, and others reply with their character's comments about it.

THE BEHIND THE SCENES meme: Your character's canon is just a popular TV show or movie. They're actually a famous actor who plays a version of themselves on the big screen. Are they actually a prima dona? Is there backstage drama? Do they spend their free time nit-picking about how corny and unrealistic their script is...?

Would love to play a male victim for this!

Or actually, instead of a "behind the scenes" meme, I'd just be happy with any sort of "lifestyle of the rich and famous" themed meme. Prompts could be anything from "the paparazzi caught you in a scandalous situation and now it's all over the news" to "you're an actor and it's time to play out the big kiss scene".
