I used to play a character that was considered OP for their setting, which was baseline full of ridiculously OP characters. My powers sections were insane, but I spent at least as much time on specifically delineating how the powers didn't work as much as how they did, because I wanted to be clear that I wasn't planning to come in like a powergamer, and that I was conscious of the limitations of what my character could do.

But I think you can tell the difference in how it's written, too, between that and someone just masturbating to their super ninja saiyan demon angel jojo powersuit fantasy.

I'd probably make an OC for this, but I'm totally down for this, especially with twenties/thirties. Send me a PM! We can discuss character types or whatever.

i once got so mad at a mangaka revealing that a character's official hair colour was completely different from what we'd all assumed that i made an oc version. the main change was that it had the hair colour i liked. tweaked canon characters are the best.

as another mod, i would much rather have to read through a lengthy but comprehensive explanation of how a character's bullshit powers work than have to drag an explanation out of them. if i know what the limits are, i know what i have to account for, what i have to nerf, and when i should pull the player up short for overstepping.

Sorry this is gross but I just want to play something bloody and painful. Looking to play the victim, but as someone who arguably deserves it (maybe a Dexter-like situation) and/or puts up a good fight. Flexible with the setting, character relationship and other kinks, open to both a one-off or making this a PSL. No medium preferences.

yes, my shounen manga character has ridiculous powers, but those powers also have very explicit weaknesses. there is an entire fight in my character's canon where my character is at a severe disadvantage due to these weaknesses. i'm going to detail his powers and i'm also going to detail what makes them not work because they aren't some sort of magical armor that makes him untouchable and i don't want people (the mods or other players) to think that they are.

hey guys! i've been on a hiatus for a year or two but i wanna come back to rp, but most of my friends don't rp anymore and i don't want to have a group commitment, and bakerstreets looks as dead as ever. is there any other place that i can get RP? app_this_plz closed and i don't know another place besides rpanons.

yeah? honestly, it's working out just fine. the mods gave randomized mini-events/discoveries during the intros, there were several prompts to go off of, things haven't really showed much of a sign of slowing down yet.

if we get into the second month and it's like that, i'll be a little more worried. but right now i've got no complaints about the pace

not actively in any fandoms as in not hardcore heavy into anything, but i play from some older ones/still have some active muses from previous fandoms i played from, and i also play ocs, yes.

I tend to rotate between both.

Not sure if you're full up, but I'd be down for throwing Bucky your way. I'm usually playing him around Winter Soldier or during HYDRA if you'd want to play out alternate reunions or interaction with slow burns of angst with prosey things.

A guy or girl gets attacked by some variety of tentacle monster and (preferably though not necessarily) loaded up with eggs. Bonus for them passing out, dismissing it as a dream when they wake up, and incubating the eggs for a week or so before laying them.

I'll play either role! Drawn PBs preferred, not picky about characters outside of that. Leave a sock.
