mindscapes are super great, de-aging can be fun, and tbh i enjoyed genderswapping with one character who's gender is actually an indirectly important part of their character. otherwise genderswapping events are kind of boring or cringey and trope-y.

bodyswaps are way more fun with established CR. with unestablished CR it's a good ice breaker, but the impact of what's different or what can be learned from either character is usually lost when you weren't very familiar with what was there from the start.

animal transformations are fun if they're actually played straight, like characters figuring out how to do things without opposable thumbs. or fighting against instincts and realizing they might accidentally eat one of their cr if they're not careful.

"random status effect" cracky events i kind of miss since they were sometimes an easy excuse for weird and easy cr. suddenly your character has glowing hair! shrinks to the size of a mouse! grows to the size of an elephant! is blind for a day! can't talk for a day! turns everything to gold for a day! invisible for a day! amnesia for a day! these can be fun if you're creative about it.

dances/parties i detest unless there's something actually going on. someone spikes the punch. steals the microphone and drunkenly declares their love/hate/rivalry for someone or does bad karaoke. someone starts a small moshpit. someone pukes and someone else slips on it and breaks their ankle. someone brings drug paraphernalia and calls the cops. a plane crashes through the roof. god, do something other than stand around and talk about what outfit everyone's wearing.

...not that i dislike talking about character outfits or reading about others in an ooc sense, but if that's all there is to an ic thread with a side of dancing that will probably not go anywhere anyway, i'm not interested.
