He adds even less to the story than Quentin

by the end of s3 i found myself only really caring about eliot, margo, julia and josh. quentin feels necessary only in the way that there needs to be a Protag who has a legitimate feeling of responsibility for keeping the main plot going so that it doesn't grind to a halt while everyone else focuses on their own shit. alice by now feels like the result of a character arc that normally would have ended in permadeath, but didn't, and it's not innovative and interesting it's just awkward and feels overextended. penny is an irredeemable shitlord and a whiny little bitch who needs to shut the fuck up about everything forever jesus christ why does anyone talk to you, though penny 23 isn't too bad so far. and who even knows what kady's doing half the time.
