speaking as someone who joined only knowing a couple of people, it's very friendly if you put in the effort to tag around. the players are nice but i've found it's easy to get the ball rolling on cr without ever even needing to speak to them if you don't want to.

Really friendly to me, lots of people introduce themselves on the OOC intros and IC intros get lots of tag ins. It's good!

I'd say pretty friendly? I did know a few people in the game before I joined, but my intro got a ton of tags (a lot of them from people I'd never played with before) and my character isn't popular by any means. Since then I haven't had any trouble getting replies to my posts or finding things to tag into, and everyone's been very nice and open to plotting.

overall, very friendly and accepting!!! very easy to break into and build cr and the events are fun and even the player plots are good, it did start to slow down a bit, but that was years ago, it sounds like it's gotten a lot of new players lately.

back when i was in the game, there was a problem with folks not discussing a problem with a player at all and collectively deciding to go straight to mods, though.
