This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. i came here to say this only to see it's already been said

it's so frustrating and depressing to see everyone else getting dozens of responses to their plurks no matter the subject matter while i'm here getting nothing regardless of rp vs rl

i miss the social aspect of talking about our characters, fandoms, threads, etc and no matter the topic or how frequently i respond to others, i get nothing in return and it's incredibly disheartening

not only that but trying to engage with others in their rl/fandom plurks made me feel annoying. this seems to be an ongoing trend here and it is really disappointing. i miss when this place felt like an actual community.

as someone who tends to get a lot of replies even from people i don't rp with consistently:

you mostly have to get lucky and click with someone on a personal level on top of the fandom stuff. i've managed to make a lot of strong, genuine friendships not based on rp but i've also been cultivating them for years. if the entire basis of your friendship is rp it won't last long.

if you really like someone try to show more interest in them and do other things together like play video games or watch movies/shows together. talk about non-fandom stuff. that's how i got mine.
