I'm not in any games at the moment because any time I see a game with a premise that looks promising to me, I find a deal-breaker somewhere in the mechanics. I'm not meeting anyone new in this hobby now because I'm not in a game, and tags come so rarely to me that most days I don't even get any RPing done.

And this coincides with my RP drive being higher than it's been in years.

Nah. If you really wanted to RP you’d compromise somewhere. Have you tried fishing for PSLs? Have you asked yourself if that dealbreaker mechanic is really that important after all? You’re basically the RPer version of that one guy who talks a good game about taking up running again but somehow never actually gets around to it…

there's no such thing as a perfect game that's going to be exactly 100% what you want. i know, i've been in this hobby since 2005 and i'm still looking for that "perfect game." if EVERY game you run into that you like otherwise has a "deal-breaker," that tells me that you need to stop being so picky and be willing to compromise on some things.

if i didn't play on tumblr, i would be getting one response a week (or less) from dwrp. i strongly suggest you move out of dwrp and onto another rp venue. it's true that tumblr's format is shit and a pain in the ass to get used to at first but this place is dead unless you play from certain favored canons.
