i think there's just the one mod and she's been ill/recovering from surgery. things have been pretty slow as a result.

then they really should get more mods to help, because that was what happened the last time there was a ton of slowdown too iirc. nothing against them otherwise but if this a thing that's going to keep happening then they need to bring more folks on board to compensate.

I'm like you, I pretty much hated all the new monsters.

Liches seem like a really awful combination of really overpowered and an absolute pain to actually play as to me. A less complicated zombie-like monster I think would be better.

Pooka annoys me because it doesn't match up with actual pooka mythology. Rodents and rabbits were one thing they could take the form of, sure, but the animal pooka is heavily associated with is goats, kind of like how we often think of demons as goat creatures or humans with goat horns. I know it's because they didn't want the animals to overlap, but it's like taking vampires and saying they can only have a wolf form because bat is being used by some other creature. It feels like they tried to hamfist a random monster into being the rodent representative. Other than the animal motif, pookas just feel like a rehash of goblins and faeries while lacking anything distinct about them aside from bunny ears.

Slime should have stayed a joke and I'm questioning the water weakness because aren't slimes supposed to be water monsters? They're usually depicted as monsters you'd find in a swamp/sewer/lake in my experience.

Simulacrum doesn't feel very monster-ish to me. It's a robot, which I don't really see as the same as being a monster.

Nephilim I know was a popular suggestion but the implementation seems bizarre and awkward to me.

nier automata's ending e is one of the most moving endings i've seen in a long time.

that ruined me so bad. the whole movie was cute but then that left me with a feeling i didn't expect and is the reason i love the movie.

it should be noted, on top of other things that have been said, that it's a bit on the police procedural side, particularly in season 1. it's got the additions of the devil and company and the magical complications that come with that, but they cover a case in basically every episode and that gets a decent amount of focus.

Short and sweet, a new girl transfers into a school and immediately gets the attention of a local mean girl. Said mean girl tries to intimidate her, only to find the new girl is a witch who is now dedicated to magically fucking with her. Humiliation is the major theme, but how they get there is up to discussion.

When game shopping, do you pick a character and try to look for a game premise for them?

Or do you consider the premises first and then pick a character based on how they'd work in that premise?

i start with the character because that's where my urge to play starts but sometimes if i find a premise that won't work for them i might still consider it for a different character

i hope we get early monster reveals this month. i know there's absolutely no reason for that but i'm really curious about what i got.
