idk about you guys but i like a little bit of realism in my smut rp and i feel weird not having either 1. the characters using a condom, or 2. semen getting everywhere or dripping down somebody's leg.

i'm not interested in rping pregnancy unless it's "our ship starting a cute family" garbage in psls but i'm okay with either pregnancy scares or no risk of pregnancy because of hand-waved vasectomies because i'm weird as fuck.

- i adore crosscanon ships+gen and would rp them with you all day if our characters meshed (i also play from a small/dead fandom and all my significant cr has been crosscanon)

i love crosscanon ships but they are hard as fuck to set up - well, for me at least. if assumed cr is cool with you, then you should try shipping memes in bakerstreet. but me, i want to see if there's chemistry first and getting psls tagged out long term seems to be a matter of getting lucky with your partner.

you get me thinking about the condom thing though! i've realized i do play semen everywhere when it comes to m/m, and when i play f/m is either condom or handwave pills.

- More games with active networks, I'm okay with logs but I don't like the switch to IC inboxes because I feel like it decreases the amount of interacting between different groups in the game. I'm fine with them being used for stuff that would otherwise be a filtered network post or whatever.
- Games with morally bankrupt or ambiguous premises. I feel like 90% of all games veer away from any interesting moral conflict to appeal to the widest playerbase, which waters down a lot of plots.
- More nonhumans in RP, I'm guilty of playing too many humans myself but there's nothing I enjoy more than engaging nonhuman characters. Bonus points if they're completely nonhumanoid. Walking trees, living furniture, flying cars, giant jellyfish, you name it.
- Fanmade AUs branching off of or based on canon, these are some of my favorites to mess around with and I don't see much of them around anymore.

more people being straightforward about ships they wanted to play. don't put out a generic line with some ideas or kinks and then never get back to me because my muselist doesn't have the right faces on it. if you straight up say you're looking for spiderman bandage or whatever at least I know not to waste my time.

I just really want something more than a whambam thank you (person my char just banged). Yes, smuts great if you're into that kind of thing but I'm a person who has had a lot of sex and it has never all been 100% perfect or even the best. There are dick slips, laughing at impromptu times, accidental nail jabs in sensitive spots, premature ejaculation, gag reflexes being a THING, and falling out of the mood before things even get going. But trying to RP that is like trying to get blood from a turnip. smh. Just let me LIVE.

Maybe my char will swallow your dick/clit later but let's go beat the shit out of some Road Warriors, kill some zombies, solve world hunger, or, shit, escort a drunk Princess through some dark woods so she can marry the peasant woman she fell in love with before she was banished to a tower.

weird flowery tags with no flow to the writing. i'm not sure how to describe it and i don't know if this is a more recent thing or maybe i'm just noticing it more these days but it really toasts my bagels because it's a case of SO CLOSE and yet SO FAR.

IN THEORY the tags are good, they tend to run long, lots of description, in character, so far so good A+++. but they're also just... incredibly disjointed and stilted in favor of pretty turns of phrase and prosey descriptions that go all over the place. also tends to do the thing where a character says 3 different things and 3 different conversations are going on at the same time, which drives me bonkers. i'll take a shorter, less froofy utilitarian tag from someone who clearly knows how to structure a dang sentence so you understand what the hell is going on.

More short term games, but I want to see stuff besides murdergames. Love murdergames immensely, but I think many more ideas could thrive on that sort of format easily that have failed in the standard game format. Last RP anons post had some great ideas that I'd so love to play in.
