Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme. Your unfunny, forced memes also fall under this rule.

I'm just popcorn.gif about this whole trainwreck. There's so much that's just "oh honey no" about that post that I don't even know where to start. screened comments? that third option? those mods better be so damn thankful they're anon mods otherwise the wank about all of this would be even worse.

17 characters between 10 players, and 8 characters between 8 players not counting brandy and amanda (no shade against them, they just had the most characters out of everyone who dropped)

If the playerbase finds an age cap unacceptable in any capacity, then we will close applications, move the game into endgame with an appropriate scenario for the current metaplot, and close it by April 30th.

L M A O what the fuck kind of solution is that? RP is a collaborative exercise, even if you're a mod flexibility to work with your players is such a must. Being like 'wah you guys don't wanna play the way i wanna play even after i invited you over so i'm just gonna kick you all out' is rude at best.

How about if people unanimously (or at least overwhelmingly) don't want the cap, you scrap this dumb idea and work around it?

Honestly I don't think most people even had problems with the cap so much as the mods straight up saying that their young characters would miss out on 'large' portions of the game/plot, then trying to back track on it so hard it gave them whiplash.

Yeah, it started out as 'w/e an adult only game is cool but the way you're trying to do it is pretty shitty to the people who have teenagers already in the game that you already accepted' and somehow tangented to ADULTS VERSUS KIDS because we love stupid arguments that miss the point.

If they said they'll only accept 19+ year old applications from this point onward with a suitability/explanation section and would grandfather in the existing teenagers in a way that let them at the plot I doubt people would care half as much.
