is wg still something most people fear or have we moved past that yet?

i just tried to enable a friend who hasn't been here for about 3-4 years back into dwrp and she was like "i don't want to deal with potential dram on wg". personally i don't think it's a staple of the community or anything, but am i wrong?

3-4 years ago, your friend maybe had a point. lately? not really. wg's still there, and if people fuck up, they're going to get dragged on there for it, but lately, most people are either too lazy/bored to bring up pointless shit or just not willing to muster up enough fucks to give over inconsequential shit. people 'meh' over a lot of dumb shit brought up there now and even though there may still be someone dropping someone for shitty icons or weird character choices, they just as easily will get told to get over it or that it's not wank worthy.

which isn't to say wank doesn't happen. if someone's done something really reprehensible or stupid, that's where it'll get brought up. but if your friend isn't locke/tora/pyra/murder/stormy/zack levels of dumbass, no one will care.

unless your friend is garbage, there's nothing to worry about. deetless drama gets called out and deleted, and most wank is considered done after 6 months unless it was super egregious. some people discuss/link to shit from wg on plurk and even that isn't the faux past it used to be.

ugh, i hate this excuse, i've gotten it from several people, that DWRP has too much drama and WG is so horrible it gives me anxiety wehhh. you play on fucking Tumblr, which is the most melodramatic cesspool on earth, and you're worried about an anon community that has surprisingly strict rules about who can and cannot be dragged for what reasons? get over yourself and just admit you're too fucking lazy or don't care enough to change venues.

lrn2read OP never mentioned tumblr. It sounds like their friend is remembering the state of dwrp a couple years ago, which was genuinely extremely vicious and had implications beyond anon comms.
