ive been out of the rp scene for a good half a year now due to health issues but am considering easing myself back into it and ive been considering tanagura, anything i should know before writing an app?

because the plot is so heavy/there's a lot of it, it can be hard for newbies to get deeply involved. sure anyone can sign up for a slot, but it's hard to gain traction in a significant way than just feeling like you're a one shot cameo getting your fifteen minutes of fame. it's not anyone's fault, it's just because the game has been plot heavy and running for so long it's just "them's the breaks" at this point.

if that wouldn't bother you it's a generally chill game that gives you a lot of opportunity for writing almost any kind of smut you can think of.

idk anon, i've had the opposite experience re; the plot. i joined several months ago and managed to immediately get my character pretty deeply involved just by constantly putting them up for opportunities.

I'm fairly new to the game and experiencing the same trouble getting into the heavy plot because there's no easy way for my character to get settled first before jumping into government stuff and black market and etc.

That being said though, I still thoroughly enjoy the game and even if the first couple of weeks were a struggle, I was able to find a lot of people to tag and have fun with! I have plenty of things to RP without going immediately into the main plot of the game.

what's the deal with people in this game being so allergic to reading?

Assuming you meant to reply to that person, they probably aren't talking about the general setting information that's available to everyone on the game info pages. When people talk about getting into the plot of Tanagura, they usually refer to things that require a fair amount of OOC and IC effort like connections with npcs, setting up your character so that they would know certain secrets about the setting, etc.

ok, i know there is a bit of a reading problem, i'm not going to lie. i've been guilty of it before, so i can't be too hateful.

there is a lot to dig through, especially when you're looking at some of the older information. it's hard to look for something in particular when you don't know to look for it in the first place. i'm hoping that the monthly summary that someone was taking on (thank you whoever it is) will help out a bit. if nothing else, it should give people a general idea of when to start looking for what.

it'd also be good if we had better reasons for some of the characters who did have ic information to share it. i know a lot of it is that characters wouldn't just give out information to just anyone. there has to be some cr built before they give out secrets, and that could take time to get to that point.

i like to think that we're friendly and open enough to get everyone cr, and most of the events do have something anyone can jump on regardless of their previous plot involvement. but yeah, i get how it can be hard to get involved with some of the deeper plots.

op here and yes this is what i was going for, ty. also with so much of the actual community on lockdown (bc sex game) ive been mainly relying on the tdm to get a feel for things.

i'm so excited for all the new (and old) characters in the game

i know a lot of people have been expressing concerned about how slow the game go all of a sudden, but i'm starting to think a big chunk of that has to do with this event being kind of a bust.

but on the plus side, i don't think our network has ever seen so much activity!
