there's still plenty of other characters in the game to make it work. stirring things like this is far from classy.

What I meant was that a huge amount of fantastic characters & players have dropped in rapid succession and that's sad. It doesn't bode well for the game as a whole but maybe it's just a coincidence. The characters & players we still have are great don't get me wrong.

Then again, the phrase "make it work" is telling...

da Think about it though: mots of those characters have been inactive or scraping by on AC for a while. Clint and Natasha dropped a month ago. I'm not going to lie and say it doesn't make me nervous when it's just a list of names but that's not really the whole picture.

I'm sad to see them go, anon. It was fun watching what they did with the setting. I do think it's coincidence between real life getting to them or their interest moved on to other things. Either way, I wish them the best.

two of the players on that list are still in the game, one of them with two characters. there are still almost sixty characters, which is more than it had for a pretty good chunk of time.

the game is fine, there's no need to be dramatic or read that much into it. and i think this is kinda rude to all the people still in the game and working hard on their own CR and plots.

this right here. this is what I mean by making it work. the remaining players still have things going on and it sounds like a slight against them to list all the dropped characters like that. it made it sound like anything good that the game had to offer jumped ship. like the other anon said most of those characters also have been inactive or scraping by for ac for a while too because real life got to the players or they lost interest. it happens and it's all right.

still it's not going to hurt the game as a whole in the end when you know that. what will hurt the game is when you list characters out like that and drop it here on rpanons like this. it makes people on the outside think it's dying and people are less likely to app. it's all right to be sad that those people dropped but the game hasn't ended yet anon.

this is so fucking overdramatic, and you guys will take absolutely anything as an insult. chill.

I'm really enjoying the newbies from last round.

My fave will always be Ecks. Sherlock, Watson, House, Strange, Al, Sylar, and Castiel have been pretty great, too. I'm really excited to see Beckett come back.

Okay, so for some names of characters that we don't get to hear about as much but really deserve some praise (in no particular order):

Charles - oh man this kid, this poor guy. I've been really having some fantastic threads and CR with him, and even when I'm not threading with him just watching his other interactions with characters really gets me. He's going through a lot as a character, but he's also just so fun to watch. He really has such a distinct voice and personality.

England and America - because lbr they're one beautiful team and if you haven't seen them threading with each other it's really a treat. I'm surprised the two of them haven't gone completely gray from stress with their citizens getting up to so much trouble (if not dying off completely).

Vasquez - I've had so much fun with him so far it's ridiculous. What a hilariously written smarmy creep. Please never stop being just as terrible as you are because you're terrible in the best kind of way.

Castiel - I've really, really enjoyed watching him blast off with so much CR right out of the gate. It's really refreshing to see someone get so into the game so quickly! You've really taken charge, so kudos to you, and you've just been so much fun to talk to and interact with! I look forward to seeing what kind of hijinks he continues to get into alone, with Ecks, and beyond.

Davesprite - always a crowd pleaser tbh. His tags are just...a complete joy. One of my favorite people to thread with out of the entire game, I think. And the player has been completely wonderful on an OOC level as well. I smile and laugh constantly when getting tags from Davesprite or just reading them on flatview. You don't even need any context to watch him type tbh.

Magenta - I don't know what more I can say beyond That Glittertext Argument.

Royce - I was going to say "please Royce never change" but watching him grow as a character with all that he's been through in this setting has been part of what makes me feel so glad to have him around. I haven't been threading with him much lately but I really hope to change that, especially after seeing how some of the character drops have effected him ICly. Give This Sad Elf Some Friends.

Stein - what are we going to do with you, Stein? I've just really loved watching his character go off the deepend but then struggle to make things right ever since. He's having a really hard time of it where it comes to getting positive CR, but that hasn't stopped him from having amazingly entertaining interactions with people nonetheless. I'm excited to see what sort of developments happen here in the future!

I'm not gonna lie I love everyone in this bar. Every new character we get is a delight, and our old mainstays keep on trucking and suffering and fighting through it.

I know it sounds cliche but I love everyone in the game. Shine on all of you crazy diamonds.

Castiel and Magenta have been super fun on the newbie side of things, but I'll always love Ecks and Watson.
