So...would it be weird if someone apped two characters from the same canon? I know we can have up to five characters total, but there's obviously also a cast cap.

that's something that the mods would have to decide based on how much the two characters interact in canon.

as long as the characters wouldn't interact with each other very much, i don't think it's weird at all. if you wanted to app ant-man and loki from the mcu, that's not weird. those two have no reason to interact. what would be weird is if you wanted to app thor and loki from the mcu, since there's no way around the two of them interacting with each other.

as for the cast cap, i think it really depends on the canon. star wars seems to be a really popular canon for this game. if you apped a second star wars character, while new people are vying for the spots, that might be a little awkward and you might get someone complaining about it on an anon comm. but if you apped two naruto characters, that wouldn't be awkward because hardly anyone plays from it.

just plus one-ing what the anon above said. especially with the more obscure canons or canons where each season is realtively stand-alone (like American Horror Story or Precure), I don't think it would be TOO awkward. you just gotta make sure you aren't apping like, chip and his best friend or something like that.

People are already doing it, don't see why not.

if the character's available and isn't close to the one you already play, go for it. the game's been open since december. if someone really wanted to play the character in the game, they could have apped already.

the only way it would be awkward is if you already play a character from the canon, someone reserves the second character from that canon you want to app, and you challenge them for it.
