I think that's what OP meant. I like to tell those people "Go ahead! :D" and watch them slink away. If you prefer to plot something first, I'm down. If you want to throw a tag at me, that's good too. But knock it off with the obvious fishing for a starter. Tag in with something substantial, and it'll put you ahead of 90% of bakerstreet.

it's frustrating how few games appeal to me lately. I'm probably just being unreasonably picky, but there's no sense apping somewhere I'll just wind up dropping from due to not feeling the premise and/or atmosphere. that said, I really miss being in a game. the ones currently available aren't BAD, they just don't fit my taste in terms of setting, and the few that do also have X or Y thing that would make it impossible playing my character there. sucks, man.

i personally dropped it after the shotabait storyline with lucoa, which is a shame because i had actually been enjoying it up until then.

yeah if i don't feel like writing the starter i just tell them to since they offered? i don't really find that an annoying way to approach someone either bc at least they've given the option and sometimes i do like to write starters.

i felt this for a long time, and i know everyone says never to join a game for ~one certain thing~ but i am actually going to tell you to do just that. find a low-effort game that has a cool mechanic or a character list that you like and just try it, if you miss games that much

i did this last year. joined a game built around a genre that i never, ever, EVER have liked in my life, but a castmate was there and now as a whole it's my favorite game. i can honestly say i would stay even if my castmate dropped. it's ridiculous

what do you have to lose except for maybe some time?

ok does anyone else have this problem?

i have a handful of CR who i have no problem boomeranging with, and i get a lot done with them really quickly... they aren't castmates or anything, because i play an OC and a mostly lone canon warrior. and then i have other threads with different CR that move so much more slowly and it's not even from a lack of interest. like, i enjoy all these threads and want them to flourish! but it's pretty clear i take a day or two with some people, and then with others, in the same day, i will fire off at least 5 a day. i don't know why, but some people are literally more difficult for me to tag than others, even though the writing quality, length and etc are about the same. is it a character chemistry thing?

and to clarify also: no shipping is being had, nor is it in the works
