here's the difference: in dark souls, the answer really is to get better at the game. practice, learn enemy movements, learn how to play, and sooner or later, it'll click.

in botw, the answer is to... eat food. or get over your hangups and actually play the game to get more hearts.

i want a new canon to get into since i'm a bit bored of my current characters, but nothing is really sticking out

I've actually been seeing good reviews in nerd circles, which is surprising since those are the places most likely to lose their shit over any change.

Relatively tame, but... looking for someone who might want to write some pregnancy kink?

We could do a longer psl and write the relationship from well before conception all through actually having a kid, or do a one-shot scene! Faves include fantasy settings, domestic fluff alongside plotty intensity, story-driven sex. M/f or m/m for variations on mpreg both okay, and I'm hoping to play the dominant partner either way.

Anime: Blue Seed - a 90s anime starring Hayashibara Megumi as Momiji, a girl with blood ties into ancient miko and is recruited into a task force to subdue various "angry gods" and get to the bottom of the supernatural unrest. A very fun little show with loveable characters, a great voice-acting job in both Japanese and English, plus a lot of big monsters in kaijuu fashion.

Lost Universe - better known as "Slayers in Space," though it shares teh same universe and mythos, I personally find the story and the characters more tender and full of heart. The music is AMAZING and though the anime suffers a few silly episodes, it's overall a great series.

Manga: Please Save My Earth - an 18-volume shoujo manga about six teens/kids all having the same dreams...turns out they all share something in common: a past life as an alien scientist studying the planet Earth. It sounds too strange to be real--but the drama begins when they all remember how they tragically met their ends.

TV Shows: The Life and Times of Tim - A painfully funny animated series about Tim, who is more or less a loser who makes terrible decisions and is easily enabled and the stupid shit that happens to him. Pretty much entirely voiced by comedians.

Selfie - I loved this show so, so much. The title of the TV show killed it because it turned off people, and it really deserved a better chance. Basically a modern re-telling of My Fair Lady, in which Eliza Dooley, Internet Famous, has to learn to actually be a personable human being in Real Life. It had an amazing cast, was legitimately funny, and the chemistry between Karen Gillian and John Cho was excellent.

convoluted in the sense the sat boosts are so essential you need to have full 100 percent uptime on defense buffs or heart buffs or whatever because you basically need those buffs to survive any fight unless you collect a lot of containers through shrines. Otherwise if you don't make sure you have a heart or a defense buff on you with 100 percent uptime you'll be oneshot. meaning you run out of the food super quick and have to gather more.

Is this game very slow? I'm shopping around after a long hiatus and it looks interesting.

I'm looking for something with complex characters and interesting relationships about people who are in their mid-20s or up. Nothing really about kids. Sci-fi or modern day is good, bonus points for LGBT+ characters but not required.

Basically, I am really interested in something with a lighter version of the tone of Black Mirror but not anthology because I want to pick up a new character.

Forgot to mention: shortish (1-2 seasons) TV shows are best, LA or animated is fine. I'm mostly looking for tone and character complexity.

Have any of you ever been in a game through its entire run, start to finish? I've done it twice since getting into this hobby on LJ back in 2008, but it's been a good four or five years since the last time I did it.

As one of the souls with aptitude for imminent reincarnation, King Yan has decreed that you be spirited away to Peach Blossom Spring, an island in the Eastern Sea well away from mortal eyes. You will have to coexist with your fellow lost souls for a short period of time and prove yourselves to be worthy of undertaking the journey back to the world of the living.

Aptitude is not a guarantee, after all. Each one of you carry the burden of sin from your time alive. That crime must be removed to purify your soul sufficiently for the return. There is one easy way to do this, as told to you by your demon guards: kill one of your fellows as punishment for a sin you deem worth dying for. Once justice is served, you will be redeemed.

A peach tree is planted in the courtyard of the Garden. Three flowers, each flower for an excess soul that the wheel of rebirth cannot take. A flower will fall and scatter for each soul condemned to the Underworld. Once all the flowers have fallen, all those who remain will be returned to their world.
