i don't have much motivation to app since i know i won't last long on top of general lack of interest. even though i miss mass-crosscanon cr i just don't feel like putting in the actual effort to do the intro -> build cr thing i guess, since that takes so much time.

anon, the age caps we've used have ALWAYS accounted for shit like this. literally where have you been that you've seen caps that didn't include "this applies to their effective age, not their literal chronological age"?

more often, i tend to cosplay from the same series i rp from. i've definitely considered cosplaying some of my characters before, just off the top of my head, there are a good... 3-4 of my characters who i'd totally cosplay, but it just hasn't happened yet for various reasons, a lot of which are budget and time related-- i have a tendency to like characters with fancy pantsy designs, and want to cosplay the same.

Yeah, like, people joined a scifi-mission-exploration-survival-horror-etc game because they want to play with those elements. If there's a chance that some of those elements will be off-limits to them, then what's the point in staying?

i've thought about those too, but i never seem to catch them when they're open. maybe someday!

murdergames also require pretty strict scheduling and tagging speed which just stresses me out and also makes me not want to try them.

Game starter anon here, that's probably what I'll do. It'll be good to take some time to craft up all the information, find trusty co-mods, etc. :) I like making graphics and doing world building anyway, so I think even if it flops, I'll still have fun in the process.

Depends on the meme. If it's a plotty one, a little planning won't hurt, but if I have set preferences, as long as it's within them, come at me.

Ban'thalos has been up for at least 24 hours on my server. I'm amazed, tbh. For one, I remember spirit beasts despawning if they went untamed for a set amount of time, and for another, I can't believe no one's come by to tame it.

fwiw anon, if I was a mod and someone came to me going 'I'd like to play this character with the intent of scrapping them after 2-3 months', I'd be so down. you should try it.

i don't know who started with comparing DWRP mods to tabletop GMs, but the comparison is a terrible one. 80% of DWRP would absolutely lose their minds if mods acted like GMs.

Live action sitcom: Suburgatory. About a teenage girl who moves from hip and cool NYC to the suburbs and she has to learn to live with her wacky neighbors. Cut short at 3 seasons. :(

Game: I really love Bastion, which had some hipster fame a few years ago when it first came out. I replayed it last week and the story/art/music hold up even better the second time thru.

Movie: Hunt for the Wilderpeople. Loving, funny and heartwarming movie about a boy who moves in with his new foster family, who live out in the New Zealand bush. Gorgeous scenery porn paired with cute characters and a refreshing story. Warning: a dog does die.
