cosplay anons, what sites do you use when you buy cosplay outfits if at all? i keep running into scam after scam and i don't want to give upwards of 100 USD to another scammer :(

cosplaysky, angelsecret, certain sellers on aliexpress are great you just have to check the reviews. depends on what character you're looking for! etsy sellers will do commissions or sell props. there's also cosplay groups on facebook-- some of them are narrowed down by fandom (like disney) or character (ex. black widow).

i've always had costumes made that i couldn't make myself through networks of friends through social media, using facebook to join local/regional cosplay groups is a start since people advertise themselves and often these groups are self regulating enough to weed out any scammers. usually these local groups can help arrange a taobao order, which cuts out the shifty stock image-y type sites and can get you the costume you want for cheaper.
