it's possible to RP with only a couple people. it's pointless to run a game for only a couple people. you either have a mod and a player playing alone in what is essentially a psl box, or you have a mod modding two people who might not even want to play with each other's characters, but have no choice because 'the only ones'. that's fucking lame.

and this is why games die. the assumption that if there's few people in the first month, there won't be any more in the second.

you have a story, you have a world. use it, enjoy yourselves, hey maybe even change the apps to being always open. be creative. take some fucking effort for a change. things will grow. those few people have friends, and if they enjoy themselves, they can tell their friends what a good time they're having, and maybe a couple of their friends will join. those friends have other friends, and so on and so on.

grow a pair and get some patience and creativity. if things don't look up in a few months, then end it. don't fucking end the game before it even starts, fucking over the people who did show interest, who just spent that effort preparing to join the game, only to have the mods yank the rug out from under them.

again, fuck you. apps opened on the 18th and as the app page is closed, i can't verify, but i'm pretty sure there were only one or two apps put in. for the second month in a row. they waited over a week after apps opened to close the game. unless you can tell me for sure that ten+ people were lining up to app, then you don't get to waggle your scolding finger of go fuck yourself at a mod who was hoping to mod a game, not a couple of people. it doesn't have to open in a rage the first month, but if little interest is taken by the second month after a slow open, it's usually doubtful it'll pick up.

are you from like a parallel universe where this is how things work in dwrp?

do you not understand that a lot of times when you only have a tiny number of people app in they end up ghosting instead of actually playing?

the mods can want to stick it out all they want but in reality nobody apps into games where the comms are dead because everybody idled out within two months

why don't PLAYERS ~grow a pair~ and actually app into and give new games a chance themselves for a few months right when they first open instead of being handwringing tittybabies ~waiting to see how it turns out~ because the tdm didn't break captcha or it's not another rehash of a stale concept?
