what is everyone enjoying about this game? is the SW cast the only thing i should worry about? i just wanted to hear some positive things after the huge mess of star wars threads here. :(

there are lots of things i'm enjoying about it! there's like no medium divide. you have a lot of freedom to do what you want during events and downtime. the mods encourage you to make up stuff that's fun for you and there isn't much micromanaging, so you can just do stuff without having to ask. the stuff your character does affects the game too. like during the first big event one of the teams accidentally destroyed a planet, which i thought was pretty cool.

the star wars cast was really the only major problem and most of the problem players from it are gone now. aside from the dumb cassian drama, the major problem with them was that they were really insular and only wanted to tag each other.

another in game anon chiming in. in spite of what it looks like, the game isn't as messy as this whole thing made it look. the rogue one sect of the sw cast has been the only issue with being insular but the rest have been tagging out and engaging!

as mentioned there's been no medium divide and everyone is tagging out and around, which is refreshing af since other games have not been as welcoming.

the mods seem receptive to stuff and the events we've had so far have been pretty interesting imo. i think the game as a whole is still trying to find its legs so there's been some speedbumps but it's a pretty chill environment and i'm glad i apped.

The game experience, for me, has been mostly positive. The mods answer questions promptly, stick to their guns, and give us the info and opportunities we need to have a good time without holding our hands. They've also seemed pretty open to letting us do the things we want to do. From what my friends and I have found out they can be a little inconsistent and overly picky when judging apps, but hopefully some of the clarification in the new announcement post will clear some of that up.

This seems to be a second game for a lot of folks, and tagging can be slow, but by tagging even just once a day I've had no trouble at all making AC. I haven't gotten a lot of LA players tagging in to me, but all the ones I've tagged out to were receptive and kept the threads going. And I've been pleasantly surprised by a few casts I went in expecting to be insular, like Yuri on Ice.

I know the the Star Wars drama is the main thing outsiders have seen, but tbh that whole mess got a lot more attention than it deserved. Partly because people were already up the player's ass for stuff she did in another game, and partly because she dropped over it and that always brings the bored anons. Add the culture/race/popular canon/social justice angle and you've got bloated threads for miles. The problem players are gone, and everything's been quiet since the HMD.
