some people play multiple chars in memes and not games because they feel more solid with one particular character and know they're very ic (or can be) with them while they might not be so good or solid with the ones they play in memes.

why does it matter? are they playing them badly? are they ruining your fun? seems like you're paying way too much attention to how other people are doing things and if they fit in some box of normal or not. if they're not taking a space and doing nothing with it and they're active and ic with their char, who gives a fuck?

aww, thank you! you seem like a peach, yourself. ♥ and fwiw, i really doubt it's totally on you. what the above anon said re: people not plainly stating all of their prefs might not apply to you (since you said they come to you), but in cases like yours it usually amounts to the other person getting busy, overextending themselves, being more interested in talking about what-if scenarios than playing them, etc. nothing's wrong with falling into that behavior on occasion, it happens to the best of us sometimes, but it really does suck when you run into a lot of people like that all at once. :c

i've been itching for something like this for a while now... kinda wanna set it up myself but i'm not 100% solid on how i'd set it up

I'm a player who usually plays the same character, and mostly it's just that I don't feel confident with new characters. I'm always worried I missed something big in some optional novel or something, or that I just can't write their voice right, so I usually fall back on the one or two characters I know I can nail the voice for. I also don't get tired of it because I'm usually apping to very different games, where my character would interact and develop in very different ways each time.

Of course, I can't speak for whoever you're talking about, but it's not necessarily highlandering or soulbonding or anything weird like that. Probably just a matter of what they enjoy / what they're comfortable with.

what are your thoughts on people who try to get certain things banned just because someone had a bad experience with them, even if those certain things really help other people and are for the most part non-lethal?

examples:
1. my friend pretended to be superman and jumped out a window to his death thinking that he could fly, superman kills!!!

2. taking this medication made me feel like shit and i dealt with headaches, insomnia, and nightmares, ban zoloft!!!

3. i got into a car accident and the seatbelt gave me a deep cut, seatbelts are dangerous!!!!

I've been playing the same character for about ten years now. I play plenty of other characters too, but if I only had time to play one character he'd probably be the one because he's been my favourite character in anything and why wouldn't I want to play my fav?

not to mention that each new game might bring a new group of players for cast or crosscanon cr to play against, which can be fun even in the same types of games.

This somehow makes me want to get "danger hair" and wear my "ask me about my feminist agenda" shirt around him even more.

Horrible nasty villain has a sweet-as-pie significant other when in his civilian form. They love each other dearly, domestic shit as banal and trite as usual. Villain finds his SO haphazardly during fighting some villain and realizes wow, they're really hot when they're scared. Simultaneously, SO realizes wow, that villain is really hot when they're scaring me.

SO eventually comes to their villain BF and tells them they want to be tied up and smacked around. Villain BF obviously has some hesitation because they kind of like killing and fighting people for a living, but gets into it.

I'd like to explore their BDSM relationship as it gets from kinda vanilla to 24/7, with the villain BF struggling with control/the implications of their actions/etc and maybe eventually telling their SO that they're a villain. Possibly their relationship gets kinkier with addition of evil superpowers?
