It's pretty much the standard medium-slow kind of pacing. There were a lot of drops after the first AC round due to a combination of the election happening (politics has bummed a lot of people out so bad that RPing hasn't been on their mind very much) and the usual bleed of impulse apps that happens after a game's first round. In comparison there were only 2 drops at the end of December, and 5+ characters were gained back in January, so it's balancing out.

The pace is actually about the same as it was at the start, minus the big intro log rush. There are 40 ish characters and probably 30 ish players, and I think things are picking up again more than they're slowing down. Some people are still struggling with motivation in the face of IRL being kind of a clusterfuck apparently, but overall it feels pretty average. There's been a lot of plotting activity recently, especially with some of the recent event posts.

Whoops sorry I misremembered the drops thing so there were actually a few more than 2, but most of those were people who apped in and then never got started so I didn't really notice them come or go. Just to get my facts straight!

this is encouraging to hear. I saw at least one of the game's community pages had been created back in May 2016, so I mistakenly assumed the game had been been open a lot longer than it actually has (hence my surprise/mild concern when I looked at the drop page and saw upward of 30 drops from the last three months).

Yeah, not at all! The first app round was in October and the first AC check was at the end of November which is when the bulk of drops happened. It's population is still stabilizing, the mod was just working on construction of it fairly gradually so some of the pages are older.
