Rundown: rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. i've only ever played the orginal so i've not dealt with the zodiac job system is it that bad?

the job classes are highly specialized and streamlined to do a specific thing well. which is good. this is how a job system should be.

except you can't fucking change your job in the game, unlike literally every other non-online FF game in history. you're locked into whatever you pick for each character.

i imagine that, while yea, some of the staff on XII is from the Tactics team, the majority of them were from the XI team, and the idea of being locked into a job class didn't sound strange to them

the problem was the game was already balanced without taking that into consideration, so you can really fuck yourself over if you have a poor set-up.
