So what did you thinks, anons?

I was pleasantly surprised. It has some what???? moments and got super clumsy with its exposition. Cheryl seems to be more of a plot device than a character atm, which is disappointing. Want more Reggie too. But it wasn't bad! Admittedly, I'm a sucker for a good murder mystery and the whole "small town full of weirdos and dark secrets" thing. To me, that is far more interesting than the love whatever. Triangle? Tetrahedron? idk jfc hopefully Betty gets a better plot line

I think going in with super low expectations helped. Also Jughead reminds me of JGL's character from Brick for some reason

Coming from someone who has little to none knowledge of archie comics(i knew of it via tvtropes with the whole love triangle and doing some research), I enjoyed it! I know its a darker/modern intake of the series, but I see a lot of potential with this show. I thought the Betty/Veronica kiss was a little forced, but I think their friendship is gonna be my favorite thing on the show. I'm also interested into how kevin keller grows on the show. They stated that he wouldn't just be a place holder for gay/lgbt stereotypes so thats exciting as well.

the whole ms. grundy and archie thing bothers me a bit. ???? I believe Archie is like what, 15 or 16? It just adds to Archie's confusion of what he wants to pursue with either music or his dad's business, etc.

I feel like the pilot was a bit rushed and cramed in, but it worked. There were hints of the love triangle, but the actresses stated that the girls wouldn't be focusing too much on Archie which makes me happy. I'm secretly shipping Betty/Veronica tbh.
