Rundown: rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

I enjoy it, but it is a very intensive game, you have to be, as another non said, very proactive in hunting down CR and getting involved in plot. We're pretty welcoming, I think, but things do move pretty quickly and if you don't tag out to make new CR, it is in fact possible to get left behind and forgotten about. Being involved in the metaplot isn't necessary, but tagging out and around to new people definitely, definitely is. Once you're settled and have your own circle of CR, it's pretty steady for the most part and top-levels/new posts will suffice more than tagging out all the time, it's just breaking in that sometimes can be hard.

That said, obscure or OC characters are NOT a problem. We have a whole lot of those, a lot of lone canon warriors, etc. It's nothing to do with your character and everything to do with your style of rp.

I will say that a very significant chunk of the plotting takes place on plurk, and winds up on OOC posts for plotting later or in lesser detail, so be aware of that.
