This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

unfortunately a number of dwrpers love to complain about the current game scene and will talk up how great a new game concept is but not actually app or hit up the test drive

to this day i don't understand why these people are so damn scared of following through with trying out new concepts when it literally doesn't take any more time or emotional investment than the new bland jamjars they'll immediately app into instead

because why try something new when everyone can just pile into the same one or two games peddling the same one or two tired premises over and over again? and we wonder why we always have complaints about games getting too big or being too generic.

though i guess in this case au is the hot new thing, which makes it all the more disappointing this flopped. i don't blame the mod for getting discouraged if that did indeed happen, the lack of turnout was really disheartening to see when an (imo) duller idea in the same genre got 300x more interest.
