they were confused by he mini yield signs painted on the road in the event the yield sign got knocked down and believed it was arrows pointing which way to go (into oncoming traffic)

Nelf: I went with the bright green tattoos too. They really pop on the dark purple/black scaled skintone. No blindfold for me; just gaping, felfire-filled sockets. No horns. I also used the DH-only black hair.

And this is the other problem. People say 'well, automation can't replace everything' and then assume it's not going to be an issue at all. By that logic we've 'only' lost 5 million manufacturing jobs since 2000, so why are we worried about another million or so in a different industry?

It's easy to look at something like an automatic checkout at Walmart and say 'well, those only replaced three employees'. But even if just most Walmart, Target, Safeway, and Kroger stores replaced just three employees each, that's still 25,000 jobs that have been phased out and aren't coming back. The demand for unskilled labor is declining rapidly and acting like it isn't a problem because it isn't an emergency yet is naive.

must depend on the state. when I got my license the written test I had to take went over yield and all that crap. had to memorize a good chunk of the handbook

they're just in my brain, which is part of the reason why i can be hard to understand sometimes, because i might not remember the meaning/connotation of the word or how to conjugate it correctly, or i'll use weird grammar in order to fit the word in. often i'll look up a word i intend to use in a dictionary before i write something to make sure i'm using it right, and for some reason it never occurs to me to just use a simpler word lol
