Two professional hockey players who used to be on the same team until one of them was traded are now on rival teams. They used to be known and celebrated as a winning combo on the ice. Things come to a head between them after one of them is traded, and their former bromance turned rivalry explodes into a sexual affair. Their affair is a total secret from their teams, coaches, fans, and the partners that they're cheating on. They meet up after games and have lots of intense, sweaty sex, generally always avoiding confronting or discussing their actual feelings for one another, because they both know that between their careers and commitments to their personal lives, anything more than their affair is impossible.

Kinks would be adultery, rough sex (lots of manhandling, wrestling), semi-public/risk of being caught (locker room stuff, come on), and angsty manpain. Open to tons of other kinks as well (I'll send you an flist). I'd prefer if both were flexible switches. Really not a fan of yaoi seme/uke stereotypes or overly effeminate men.

this fandom has kind of died out , but i really want to play april/andy and also ben/leslie! i play either april or andy, and then also leslie. mostly, i want to do silly/cute memes and just let everyone be doofuses.

i haven't played this asshole in a while, and i was thinking of taking him out for a spin again. i take him from fairly early on in rhato, but i'm flexible on canon point shenanigans. i'd love some canonmates, but crosscanon is also 100% my jam with no real concern for medium divide, so if you have someone you think will jive with roy (or someone he can annoy the shit out of), i'm down.

they have brains, it's just that their brains are about as capable of basic human thought as vegetable puree is capable of basic human thought. the mother of the family in question parades her daughters out on the internet for attention and sympathy in this bizarre munchausen's-esque way, insisting that they are "normal" and "perfect" and not projectile vomiting, farting, belching potatoes with zero quality of life and nothing resembling the cognizance or sentience necessary to define us as human beings. it's really sad and exploitative and it's cruel to subject these kids to physical therapy and other painful treatments when there is a -0% chance they will ever improve or grow in any way. they don't think, they don't feel emotions, and they don't have any ability to form memory. they live every moment individually in a constant cycle of basic biological needs (hungry, in pain, tired). that's all they are capable of. it is not 'living' in any sense of the term beyond 'they are medically alive instead of medically dead'. beyond that, there's nothing there. google them + lolcow farm if you want to learn more about them and their seriously unstable mother.

same tbh. i used to work with people like that and the shit i've seen has honestly ruined me. it's an awful way to live and an awful thing to watch

General response to all of you, not just the thread-starter.

I'm not dropping, but I can see where people would. The switch to SoL for at least next month is frustrating, as is the fact that the entire plot of this month wound up being handwaved in the log description (who sets up a negotiation plot without even a token NPC or player interaction post?).

More, though, the description we have received from the mods makes it sound like the SoL switch might be permanent, if not in official description, than in effect. Player plots are encouraged, but adventures and rulebreaking are mostly going to happen in visits to other worlds: so, things the characters can ICly choose whether or not to participate in. Characters might want to go home, but now that's handled entirely by NPCs, and is something controlled only by your OOC drop plans. On the one hand, of course it's important to have a way to keep your character around. On the other, taking away even the pretense that they can do anything about it? Removes motivation for those characters to involve themselves at all.

If this was what people signed on for to start, then I agree there'd be no point in complaining. But most people in the game joined for an adventure/horror/humor jamjar game, not an open-world SoL. There are a lot of characters that, given the opportunity to settle down and earn loads of cash in a safe place, wouldn't bother leaving to explore other worlds at all. And now that they're living on planets where 95% of the population is NPCs, it's very easy for the recluse types to avoid PC contact at all. You can get pissy at players about not being "creative enough" with their own plot attempts, but the fact is that a lot of characters who worked very well in a packed ship relying on other PCs for survival won't have nearly as much worth threading out when scattered across two worlds and given the chance to live out safe and boring lives.

Writing all those people off as crybabies who the game's better off losing... you can do it if you like, but it seems like a pretty shitty attitude. On a personal level, I'd love to play with all of you. I've tagged out, gotten tons of CR, and had a blast in this game for months. But while I plan to stick through the switch and see, my character choices are really badly suited for what the mods have described, and SoL games bore me like nothing else. I don't know how long I'll be able to keep going here. This might make me a worthless whiner to you lot, but it just makes me sad.

what exactly can she do about the kids now that she's birthed them and they're technically part of the human population? like i'm definitely against her parading them around (since like you said, it does smack of munchausen's) but she can't really just...let them die, can she? are they on life support or something or can they eat and breathe normally? idk this seems like such a weird grey area. i have no idea what parents in this situation normally do, or what makes them legally culpable.

nothing. there is nothing that can be done at this point, and that's the real tragedy. it was bad enough when she had the first daughter, but then they had the second one who turned out the same way, but worse. that really sent gwen (the mom) off the deep end completely. she will be showing off and exploiting her girls until she has to put them both in the grave (probably not that long off), and even after that. she has nothing else. she HAS to keep up her own delusions so she doesn't go completely insane. the buttpats and 'your girls are such miracles' and 'one day they will both be walking and talking!' lies are what gets her out of bed in the morning, even though she knows damn well none of it is true and the whole thing is a tragedy that only lends proof to the idea that there is no god. i feel sorry for her, in a way, but mostly in the 'fuck, i'm so glad that's not my life' sense.

they eat, they breathe, and as far as i've been able to discover, their brains are about as developed as a newborn baby's. being mentally a newborn forever sounds.... not ideal, to say the least, but i don't think those kids deserve to die. i think it's wrong to parade them around online and make a spectacle out of them, but i don't think it's wrong to care for them and try to meet their needs.

like, once you start talking euthanasia with humans and you run into a human being who doesn't have the cognitive abilities to consent to that... we can't actually ask those kids whether they'd rather be dead or alive, and making the choice to end their lives FOR them because we personally would rather die than live as they do... it's murder. you can't just take someone's life because you perceive their life as being less than yours.

i'm very sad for those children, but they're alive now, and it's not up to you or me to decide when their lives should end.

It's great that youre explaining yourself but you shouldn't and can't speak for everyone else. You don't know what "most people" in the game are looking for. You're just assuming.

When you say "most people" tbh I think of the overwatch cast since they've been making the biggest stink about it on plurk other than the Anakin player.

Doesn't look like "most people" in the game to me.
