rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

there are as many justifiable reasons to hate tumblr as there are atoms in the universe

why would you even be a game with a mod you know is a shithead? this is like people joining a quix game and then bitching about it

maybe i'm just out of the loop but afaik all but the most insignificant of creepers have long since been driven out of the meme scene? kayvin, mike, antman are all gone and does anyone even tag made by me ever? i think him and that lauren are tied for most widely and easily avoided bakerstreet stragglers

Sometimes when I've wanted to critique a mod decision I'd rather do it without my name attached. The mods all seem reasonable but truth is I've gotten the cold shoulder before from reasonable seeming mods after giving critique and I'd rather not risk it again. Individual players and their characters I can crit in person, but if I'm critting moderators as moderators I'd rather go anon.

And there have been times where I've wanted to bring up an in-game issue without pointing the finger at specific players I've played with recently. But, honestly, I mostly think it'd be a step in the right direction to open up one anonymous route of contact in this game. We're still kind of stuck in the "anons are evil" Rei ages in that regard. Even the meme comm of all things doesn't even allow anon comments, and I think some people are harboring a lot of paranoia about anons and what having a single anon-enabled contact page would lead to.

Someone please put up a meme, it's so slow here right now and we haven't had a meme in months.

that being said i haven't seen any drops from this or even talk of dropping so i'm pretty sure people are just going to grin and bear it, regardless of any handwringing done here

there were people who were interested in the game who are now turned off from it, but that kind of thing isn't going to bother seth, much less cut into the game's potential tbh.

seth being on the mod team definitely isn't ideal but i still love the game and i'm sticking with it

i'm sorry for the people who were warded off by it, but given this is the only troublesome aspect of the game so far? i'm willing to take my chances, and honestly these days it's becoming harder and harder to find mods that AREN'T problematic in some way

I'm not paranoid about anons, I just don't see how it's necessary to have it.

I'm not saying you're paranoid in particular, and it isn't necessary but it wouldn't hurt, either. There's a poll going on right now and people are actively voting against having anon contact, which is what puzzles me.

i will never understand what the hell did people see in kaiba/jounouchi, nlg. it's not even rivalshipping, these two just hate each other.

specify screened anon comments only, fine. being able to crit the mods anon wouldn't bother me. anon discussion by the entire game, or worse anyone who got tossed a link? fuck no.

I imagine the anon comments would be screened and even if they weren't, a vast majority of games don't get their anon mod contact pages trolled by outsiders, let alone a game as under-the-radar as TLV. If it was about HMDs I'd understand the concern because someone outside the game with a grudge against a player could be posting rude comments it, but what could they even say on a mod contact page? I doubt the mods would take someone posting 20 anon comments saying "raise the activity check now!!" or something like that seriously without polling the playerbase in a non-anon capacity.

Eh. A lot of gay advocacy groups in my area encouraged telling your coming out stories on social media. A lot of teenagers do gauge the experiences of others to see if it's so horrible coming out of the closet, and more than a few adults who were too scared to come out at a younger age as well. It isn't a "share your sexuality" meme so much as "the majority of us are happier out of the closet. So come out, come out whoever you are~"

it's disheartening to see certain players reserving popular characters they already play in other games, especially when there's a cast cap. inb4 i want to app said characters, i don't but i was hoping to tag someone who'd actually play said characters instead of just tagging a handful cast mates before idling out in a few months.

atlas is the new mass appeal sci-fi game so of course all the flakes and shiny chasers are going to pile in

Personally I think it's just a fan theory that's never going to be anywhere near canon but until we hear otherwise some people like playing with the idea of it and I've seen a couple of Galra-Keiths floating around BS if you're interested in exploring that angle.
