thoughts on the test drive?

I've been really enjoying myself so far! I was excited when I first saw the ad and I'm pleased it seems to be what I was hoping for

Honestly worried because i'm one of the few on tdm rping from the less dominant medium (from what i've seen so far) :( i really like the premise and the other characters that i see so i'll keep tagging around and see if my experience improves

I wouldn't be surprised if it's the teased reboot, reworked enough for plausible deniability. Anon mods with new plurks and the timing and theme seem suspicious.

they're not anon tho? they're all on the mod contact page. unless they all deleted their plurks from it in the six hours it's been since i checked it

technically anon, most of them are still anon. caitlin is a legit plurk but all the rest are aliases with new plurks for the game. that said, i don't think it's the cdc mods. this game's based on video games and when i had the cdc mods on plurk (their legit plurks) none of them ever talked about playing video games. they only cared about live action stuff.

ah, i never actually looked at their plurks, just saw they had them up and went on my way. i'm not bothered one way or the other -- cdc was a blast when i was in it, barring all the wank, and this game has enough merit to stand on its own regardless -- but i don't think they're the cdc mods, either. this game just blew up really quickly in a similar way, is mostly la, is set in space, and a few of the old cdc players are reserving. i think that's the extent of the similarities, honestly.

was cdc based on a video game, too?

i only need a couple more tags to have one sample-length thread...but i'm still far from a second, and it's not like i don't have several going at once.

I definitely am. As much as I'd like to use a TDM thread, I have a few going at once, but none where the pace/length are going to be what's needed for apps. Plus, I don't mind writing samples, especially when I'm stretching my legs with a character in a new setting.

I am, I doubt I'm gonna get 20 comments on another thread before apps close. I'll link a couple as supplementary proof though, I really hate writing samples and it'll make me feel a little better even if the mods don't care.

it's disheartening to see certain players reserving popular characters they already play in other games, especially when there's a cast cap. inb4 i want to app said characters, i don't but i was hoping to tag someone who'd actually play said characters instead of just tagging a handful cast mates before idling out in a few months.

atlas is the new mass appeal sci-fi game so of course all the flakes and shiny chasers are going to pile in
