idk i quit for two years and now im getting back into it and i feel fresh and inspired again

maybe take a really long break? worked for me

don't force it or feel like you have to. ime a lot of the people who have longterm trouble are the ones who'd be happier doing something else for a while (a different type of rp, vidya, writing fics, something less nerdy) but just keep on doing the exact same thing because idefk why.

oh also i quit plurk/most ooc contact outside my already established long-term friends and that's helped a lot too. it's not like i didn't enjoy talking to people, but i found i would talk about roleplaying more than i would actually... roleplay... like we'd talk out a whole thread and then have no motivation to actually write it.

they're roleplaying, anon. it's a game. read the whole thread. the prize is paid time.

You're right on one count, though: this is stupid bait. Everyone who loves this movie's already heard it all a thousand times and rolled their eyes straight out of their heads.

yeah, pretty much. the main cast in hanamaru's probably gonna be a lot of cameos in ufotable's anime. ufotable's main cast is probably a lot of the cameos or side characters in hanamaru. that's what i'm expecting at least.

i don't really have that problem, i still enjoy one-on-one threads because that seems to the most common way of psling. i didn't even think other people did this, threading with multiple characters per player. i guess i assumed most people would call it playercesting and be judgey about it. it's definitely more fun for me, though. i have one friend who plays multiple characters with me all the time.

Is it weird to tell someone that you've been stalking their character's threads for a long time, that you're a fan of their writing?

What about if they've since dropped that character and you have/wanted to take that slot?

personally i wouldn't bring it up unprompted, but if it comes up in conversation i don't think it'd be too weird to say something like 'oh i saw some of your threads a while back, you're a great writer!'

i'd avoid saying you're their fan or anything like that though, i think that'd be a little off-putting

as for me, i'm trying to make la icons for the first time ever and getting frustrated because i just want them to look nice but everything's so dang dark!

I haven't heard back from a pm I sent a while back. I tried to let_it_go.mp3 but I was being dumb and got bummed when I saw they'd been active recently. It was my own fault for flaking in the first place but :(

Are you using photoshop? I've found a curves layer (or three) can help lighten and color correct at the same time - dark LA screencaps tend to get either super blue or super green and it can be frustrating.

it's driving me batty. i almost wish i could say something to my plurk list, but i'd feel too awkward/too much like i was begging for buttpats, so i'll forebear.

have you tried putting a soft light layer on top of the original image? down to like 10-12% opacity just to lighten it a bit without it looking too weird.
