rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Even Good Haro herself has no idea when her other project will be revealed.

I feel bad, anons. My usual rp partner's fine. She's IC, she gives good tags but she takes so long to reply and usually drops threads four or five replies in. We plan out things and ships but they never seem to come to a proper conclusion. Almost everything we do gets handwaved. Then I started tagging someone else and this new cr has had more development in a month than our previous ship that's been in a game together for nearly a year has. This is the kind of thing I've wanted from rp partner A. Yes, I've talked to her about it but nothing ever comes out of it. I feel kind of guilty that I'm having fun with someone else and I feel bad that I can't have this sort of thing with my usual.

getting back into rp after several years not playing is more nerve wracking than when i first started tbh

as someone who has definitely written more than one resentful style fic, I have to admit I personally don't feel very miffed at all. I'm thrilled to see them being so sweet to each other, and I appreciate the route the anime is taking so far.

I mean, I'll probably still write some dark and twisted fic, because it's fun! if anything, this makes it more interesting to make up fucked-up shit.

so yeah, while there are complainers, I'm hoping that there will be plenty of people who are chill and just happy we're getting new stuff.

well I mean it also makes sense that there's a fair number of those in the first episode, considering they're among the first ones you get in the game, right? like, UNREASONABLE AMOUNTS OF THEM. i'm personally allergic to gokotai, but i'm assuming stuff will be balanced out as the anime progresses and new swords are added.

Sometimes players personalize the choices they make with manifestation to match the character they're playing. Some choose light or heat or temperature for subtly, some go full on comic levels of colorful and crazy.

I'm surprised you even call someone "a usual rp partner" if you never/hardly ever manage to have threads that exceed ~10 replies.

Definitely don't feel guilty having fun with someone else. I doubt you've signed a contract to only rp with this one person.

Echoing above anon that unfortunately I don't think there was a way to space it out. Fiona's drop and Joker stuff was planned around the obituary beforehand, and it was a result of conversations on the obituary that led to Bucky stuff organically snowballing out of the blue. I think both things are mostly settling down now though.

I've come to a point in my life where RPing on dreamwidth isn't as fun as it used to be. Continuing a thread and commenting once a day or every few days has me losing momentum usually and both parties will forget small but important details about the scenario/scene. Like, if someone was holding something in their hands, it'll suddenly just be gone the next comment because it was forgotten about.

I get people like well-written tags, but I miss boomeranging. I was wondering if there was a way to boomerang rp a thread and once boomeranging stopped, the thread stops. Does anyone rp like that anymore?

Ecats is a bit too minimalist for me. I just want a happy middle, since I don't see how long introspective tags are necessary every time either.

play by post, either on dedicated pbp sites (myth weavers, plothook before it died) or on forums that have a large pbp section (giant in the playground)

i pretty much play young grindelwald as well intentioned extremist when he was with dumbledore, and that he was a user and manipulator by nature but his feelings were also genuine.

i think the only place you're gonna find a happy middle is if you find a very special rp partner for psls. dwrp just isn't big enough these days to be as choosey as we used to be

YES. I missed the repo and the Vanquish first time round. but it's definitely time we had another VIP flood, it's a thing I'd love from the CR I have now.
