I'm gonna guess that the people that you asked the invite from were telling the truth. Some of those invite games only allow players to invite if they've done certain things (had journals for so long, met IC criteria, met AC, etc)

You shouldn't be mad at the people who could not invite you because they didn't have invite powers and if you blocked them, then you're the asshole.

what do you personally consider a slow tagger? a fast tagger?

slow: once a week or longer
fast: once a day or more

slow: one tag per week
fast: 5+ tags per day

slow = one tag every 3-5 days
fast = 2 or more tags every day

but only if that's consistently the pace someone tags at. i consider people who tag less per day but more per week to be faster than people who boomerang all day one day and then go silent for the rest of the week.

Someone has a power that is tied to their emotions and, as a result, they struggle to contain it. The power can be destructive or not, but in any case, they want to learn how to control it, so they go to a professional who specializes in teaching people to control these types of powers. Except none of the techniques are working, the person is still uptight and easily loses control because of it, and more than that, they're deeply attracted to the professional. At some point, sex ends up happening, and they realize that really rough, exhaustive sex is... a perfect cure.

I'd like to play out kink exploration as a main point, with things like marathon sex, orgasm control, and possibly aphro play (like, they need the "cure" now, but one party isn't really raring to go), and I'm more than open to include other things, as well. Can play any gender combo for this, and I can play as either the person with powers or the professional. 18+ only and I play from drawn works and would prefer to play against the same. Leave a sock!

are you talking to me or in general? because i don't care either way and i put that in my reply. but it does seem to bother some people if they find out they're smutting with a gender they don't want to be. most people assume female by default on dwrp unless they know otherwise. so if someone who doesn't want to interact with men online finds out or thinks they're rping with a guy in a smut thread, that could bother them.

like i said, it doesn't bother me. i'm playing the characters not the players. but there are reasons why people would do a thing.

Oh I know they were telling the truth. I may not have known all the specifics, but I could tell from observation and perusing their pages that invite games operate somewhat differently than non-invite games.

I'm not mad at them for not inviting me, since obviously if they didn't have the power to then there wasn't much they could do in that department. What I'm mad about wrt that is that somehow it's assumed that I would've read minds and known to stop asking if people who didn't have the power to do it anyway couldn't invite me. It would've been much faster, and overall less of a mess would've happened I feel, if I'd been directed to someone who DID have the power and THEY were the one who told me that they weren't going to invite me.

The people I have blocked are either people who blocked me first (which includes two people that I had asked), people directly related to the drama that I could identify, and people that I suspect might have some ties to any of those people or who may actively participate in WG. No one was blocked for just not inviting me, I'm not THAT petty.

might as well block most of dwrp. most of us read it, if not participate. the ones that yell the loudest that they don't most certainly do, especially since they're always so quick to plurk or complain about mean anons on wg almost as soon as it happens.

look, here's the thing. you went from one forum to another and tried to push your way into playing on dwrp when you didn't know the rules or conduct. that might have been shrugged off and you given leeway if you hadn't shown yourself to be incapable of common decency on the other forum. put those things together and no, no one wanted to try to deal with you. dwrp is not the same sort of space as tumblr. tumblr gets mocked a lot here for the over-coddling buttpatt culture and how you can cry foul enough and get a legion of people ready to actively hurt someone else on your behalf. it's a shitty culture and most of us don't want anything to do with that. so you're double fucked when you come from tumblr, are noted as having issues dealing with people, and then try to awkwardly force yourself into a game no one invited you into.

the fact that you're still here, on rpa, anonly trying to defend yourself is what continues to make you look bad and like you're not willing to reform, because it's still everyone else's fault and not yours.

these replies make me feel good about my own speed, ive always felt too slow to join a game again but it seems like once a day or less is about average speed

I came back to dwrp after several years away and while I was told the community had slowed down a lot, this is really surprising. I feel a lot less awful about only being able to tag my psl partners once or twice a day now.
