are there any games that are mixed jamjar/au? i saw some game idea that was considering it and it seemed like a neat idea, but all the games i'm aware of are one or the other.

note: i mean like a game native au, not a crau or a canon divergence au. but i guess it would be nice to know about those too.

I'm incredibly thirsty for a particular ship, but I'm too scared to play it out with anyone. It's isn't even a frowned upon pairing. I've just never played out a ship before.

this game looks incredibly cool and i'd like to join it when my rl settles, but who the heck is quix? can i get a quick rundown on why they're so terrible? linking me to wankgate or something won't get me to read it because those threads are usually way too tldr, and tbh i don't care that much unless you can quickly summarize it

summary: quix makes games and drops them/loses interest quickly. very, very quickly.

i don't know quix at all. i don't dislike quix because i have no idea what they're like as a person or an rper or anything. but i am supremely butthurt that quix is modding because i can't put any faith into this game. it's the only new game that's looked interesting to me in years. it's a real shame.

My friend is doing that to me now, too. I told them that I had limited time but they're in the mood!! I don't want to be petty and sit on them but they're boring and full of the same shit. You can't leave me hanging for months and make excuses then jump back in at your leisure and expect me to adhere to your schedule and boomerang you because you're "feeling it now". Writers block and irl can suck but I won't be held to different standards that all gear toward your enjoyment only.

I didn't like the casting or writing and honestly it had nothing to do with female and everything to do with BLOCKBUSTER SUMMER MOVIE!!! The last Jurassic Park sucked, Terminator sucked, and I was really disappointed in Independence Day. They're all CGI borderline Bay bullshit. It's all hype and big budgets with no substance. It literally could've reunited the original cast with some tweaks and I would have still thought it was uninspired and eh.

I agree there's issues with gender swapping and I get why it's done with preexisting characters the same way they do it with familiar characters and race but you need the characters to be interesting, strongly written, and have a good story. This is why Miles Morales is beloved, for example. They should have done half and half cast, more women than men, changed a few actors, and dumped the script. There's nothing worse than kinda comedies that have moments that are palpable where you can tell the writer and director wanted you to laugh rather than something that isn't a forced meme or heeeelarious moment. Terminator had a lot of those and so did Jurassic Park and both almost seemed like they were designed to have gifs made from them. They're tumblrina movies: "aesthetic" not substance.

You could've said nothing and just slowly plurked about money/hours and that you're thinking of moving in with your parents soon or told them that, ya dummy. Maybe your parents would oust you if the visited but you could just say it's a touchy subject and your friend hopefully wouldn't bring it up or be left alone with them long enough that your parents would.

I'm an awful liar btw and this was easy for me.

Have the character be make and reasonably attractive. Good luck if it's a woman.

Why do you think someone wants to pay you $2 for this? All you're doing is whining about how you've been to movies that very clearly spend more of their budget on CGI and marketing than on writing or actors and you're somehow disappointed that they lack "substance".

TBF, if ReDrawReigen has taught me anything, it's easy to imagine Reigen doing almost anything.

Sixth Iteration is literally 100% prose. No network, and the logs can't be in actionspam for whatever reason. Not sure they'd be okay with you playing someone from pre-canon but it's worth a shot
