All the pretty little anons

Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme. Your unfunny, forced memes also fall under this rule.
Do not treat this comm like your personal therapist. Threads about nonfictional suicide, self injury, rape, and abuse will be deleted. There are better resources out there for you.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.
Shut up about Tumblr. If it's not a discussion about Tumblr RP it will be deleted.

Anyone know of a game that encourages prose-heavy rp?

Alternatively, anyone know of a game that's basically a premise into which you have to write in an OC? idk I think that would be kind of fun.

But either/or. Not looking to app an OC specifically, more leaning towards a game that encourages prose-heavy rp to play a character(s) from pre-establish canon.

fade rift allows native OCs (as in native to the setting, that's probably the terminology you're going to find here most), i'm not sure who else does right now.

as for prose-heavy games, the atlas is opening soon and has no network. anywhere without a network is going to lean heavier that way. good luck!

Thank you so much, anon! I'll be checking them out.

idk i was in forestcovered (and another networkless game) when it first came out and while the quality was better than it is now, it was all short tags with little substance all around. i like to think it encourages people who tag a certain way, but it seems to just draw the same people as anywhere else.

undergrounds has no network and lots of prose! It's an AU game as well so whether you played an OC or a fandom character you'd have to write them into the setting.

Checking it out as I type! Thank you for the rec!

Lethevale is opening at the end of the month and looks like it's going to be pretty prose-heavy, but it's AU/amnesia and I know that turns a lot of people off.

Sixth Iteration is literally 100% prose. No network, and the logs can't be in actionspam for whatever reason. Not sure they'd be okay with you playing someone from pre-canon but it's worth a shot
