I'm still astounded by how many Belles I see around on D_M. There's like three or four of them by now, most of them with the words "chipped cup" somehow worked into their username.

Are they all played by the same person?

The irony being that I've only seen one Rumpel so far. For some reason there are more Mr. Golds. I wonder why that is. Is Rumpel too daunting because his 'canon' is fragmented and still incomplete?

As one of those Golds, GOOD LORD YES HE IS DAUNTING AS ALL HELL.

That, and I really wanted to start with Gold before trying out the other side of the coin. He's obviously a much easier voice to handle, though the intention is to eventually work both in. So Rumple will be tried out at some point in the future. Probably after The Return airs and I have a more complete idea of what's motivating him.

Gold is also probably going to be the better bet for eventually joining a game, with the possibility of his 'real' self emerging later. Rumple himself has the potential for game-break that Gold doesn't, if only just because he's more reserved as a person.

Ditto that. He did a phenomenal job in that part. It took me forever to realize that I recognized him from Kings though so I had to rewatch the ep once I figured it out because trying to figure out how I knew him kind of threw my involvement in the ep the first time around.

That episode was wonderful and I now have two theories.

1) August is Baelfire.
2) Regina's mom is the Queen of Hearts.

#2 are my thoughts exactly. cora does mean heart, after all, and her keeping regina away from henry makes so much sense, as well as being able to remove hearts and have the chamber in wonderland where she keeps them. i really hope she does end up being the queen of hearts, barbara hershey definitely needs to come back.

But it's been stated that Rumplestiltskin, by the point in time in which the curse was enacted, was hundreds of years old.

Bael wouldn't have have been around to be transported by the curse. He'd be long dead.

... Didn't Rumple himself call him Bael in the episode? Or is my memory faulty?

Faulty. It's Bae, which actually sounds markedly different from "Baelfire".

Also, we can't use time as a proper meter for how old someone should be, because we already have at least two characters (Rumplestiltskin and Jiminy) who are far older than their bodies would suggest. I find it entirely possible that Rumple did something to elongate Bae's life before they parted ways. We still don't know what happened, after all.

Oh, really? Well, in that case it does make sense he was involved in the story of the miller's daughter. If indeed he was, but it was hinted at by Regina's mom, which caught my interest.

Which leaves me to wonder about August.
