I have a Rule 63 from the BBC version that I really want to play on memes

But I am so worried that I'll make people uncomfortable by tagging them with a genderswapped canonmate that I never do it :(

I'm a little wary about 63s, but I've seen/played with some decent ones. Which char do you have swapped?

Watson, which is one reason I'm so shyguy.jpg about tagging anyone. I'm sure the default assumption would be that I'm playing a 63 version because I ship it but don't want any icky slash in my ship.

Actually I only ship it a tiny bit, and when they are both guys. I play the 63 version because I think it's an interesting thought experiment in how the rapport would/wouldn't change in a strong platonic bond like that if the parties were opposite instead of same-gendered. :/

I play a 63!Sherlock and know this feeling! But if someone doesn't want to tag me, then they won't. That's how I look at it. People are free to ignore my tags. Memes are for casual fun, and thread-dropping happens a lot. Sometimes, so do unexpectedly great threads.

Anyway: I, obviously, love 63 versions and there are others who agree. Bring 'er on and have fun.
