i'm seriously burned out on uni and it's gotten to the point that i can't even finish assignments. the absolute deadline for one of my major essays was a few days ago and i didn't turn anything in, so i'm going to fail that class for sure but i can't even manage to care anymore

tbh i sort of like the sound of this one more than dragoncalled. no offense to that game, this plotline just grabs my attention more and i really like some of the ideas that are presented in this description. biomechanical dragons sound awesome, especially if you make good on exploring the themes you mentioned at the end!

are you thinking of making this a jamjar game? AU? OC only?

please tell your affected professors, and be totally honest with them. you've put in a lot of hard work doing stuff that isn't fun, you deserve not to be penalized for being tired of it.

why would you join a small game where there are a large number of oc pokemon that have turned humans in general, anon?

it would be different if there were a ton of other characters and they only allowed canon ocs (voiceless mains, malleable mains like in bioware, so on) but it's completely different when you advertise it as a video game game but it's not actually! it's this thing i made up... kind of with game stuff! i'm not sure where you rp normally but this is bottom of the barrel shit and the reason i left smash shortly after joining (and the reason i couldn't get friends to app). i don't want to play with a character's recognizable setting, i want to play with a recognizable character.

which isn't an oc pikachu or whatever who is now a person and acts mentally stunted because it's actually a pokemon and the players are weird as shit who should be on neopets or gaia.

i want to write smut but i don't know most canons or find the characters ugly on memes, don't want to look up picture prompts, and generally don't want to tag with the tlh crowd. i guess i'd want to play with ocs but i can't really bother to create anything all that interesting other than base personality and the smut part. ugh.

No professor I've had ever let someone get away with shit like that. Hell, I had one that wouldn't let me retake a midterm I missed because I was sick and I even had a doctor's note saying I wasn't bullshitting them.

Personally, I would never judge anything by an intro log. I don't even look at them unless a friend has asked it or if a castmate has come in. I'm absolutely happy to tag out to fresh faces, but I hate writing the same premise over and over again, and I've had too many intro threads with new characters who idled out or dropped in the same month. I'd rather wait until people are feeling settled enough to think of staying a while, you know? And I know I'm not the only one.

With that in mind, even if you did join and get only a small response in the intro, it shouldn't discourage you from sticking the month out and tagging around. The game is welcoming, but it's also plot-heavy, and people need to prioritize. We have two events this month and we don't even know how the upcoming one is going to end, which is part of the fun of the game!

looks like some older players are getting tired of the mess pix n' pals have made of the game.

i was interested in joining a game recently but i'm kind of bummed about being rejected. they gave me revisions, i posted them, the mods kind of forgot to reply to my app comment until i messaged them, they rejected me, and then when i sent them a message to ask for app tips, they forgot about that message too. it's been a while since i messaged them so i feel like there's no point in prodding them about it.

i was thinking about apping another character i'm more familiar with but now i'm kind of feeling :/ about it. maybe my app skills are really bad and they don't wanna hurt my feelings or something, idk. i tried apping before but got revisions and a rejection the first time too.

there aren't really any other games that have piqued my interest, so i guess i'll just stick with memes/psls for now.

see if you can late-withdraw from the course and take an incomplete so it doesn't completely fuck your average up, and get yourself checked for depression.

it's not uncommon to feel stressed and burnt out, especially if you're in your senior year, but not being able to care that you're failing a course is probably a sign that all is not entirely well with your brain right now. if you force yourself to get on top of things, though, there's a pretty decent chance that you can make it out just one semester late with a decent average.

it's unlikely that they'll actually be able to do anything about not turning in a major essay, and the student will very likely still fail the class

but a good professor will want to know what is going on and have suggestions about the overall situation

many schools also offer "incomplete" grades for courses that can be cleared by the next semester, with student and professor making a contract for what work will be made up and what the due dates will be

the mods 'forgetting' to reply to you is a warning sign about the mods, not you. bullet dodged.

Talk with your professors, not because you don't ~deserve~ the consequences of your actions but because they are in the best position to tell you what your options are. Depending on your program, they might be willing or able to work with you, but they can't do anything to help if you don't reach out to them.

And get help. This is a huge red flag and it has the potential to mess your future up if you don't pay attention to it.

bummed about failing the last ac of my game. never mind that it literally closes in a couple of weeks and mods doing ac right now makes no sense, even for collecting points. just sucks that i failed ac and won't have points for whatever is planned. and not for lack of trying, i've tagged out tons and haven't dropped a single thread, but others are incredibly slow (some might reply monthly, if that) and drop threads with me, and there's so few players left that i'm stuck.

they've mentioned on plurk that it's more for points to spend on cool shit in endgame than for kicking people out
