As to how they'll be processed, we intend to have the TDM open for two weeks before determining if we'll process apps in order of submission or process apps as a batch after a cut-off date. If interest is relatively low, with close to or under 30 individuals interested, we'll simply process in order of submission. If interest exceeds the proposed cap by more than 2 or 3, then we'll process as a batch, accepting the best submissions of the crop.

I honestly can't tell if you if there are any links of actual research done on the subject beyond the stats of like the homeless issue, suicide, and other things. Or the news stories that get pulled out to many times (Earl Silverman from Canada hanging himself after being financially ruined and losing everything, breaking peaceful protest laws by barring entrances and exits to events and not getting arrested for it.)

Part of the issue seems to be that when someone wants to run a study or do something (like building a male and children shelter or running a forum of battered husbands) get protested, have fire alarms pulled, get expelled/told they can't do it, or triggerlypuff and her cohorts appear to try and distrupt an event that may or may not be trying to breach that subject. On that last part I freaking hate Milo and his #TheTriggering but that comedian he had with him did have some good points in his rants even if he is normally an idiot...ugh. There are other issues like shit being conflated with RotK and Redpill when there is no connection.

I'm honestly trying to phrase this better but the words escape me. But the basic reason for why there are no shelters for men is that...men are kinda seen as disposable by most societies.

I'm still trying, but: there are a hundred and one different interpretations of the character to draw on. The character is culturally relevant in the country they originated from and I don't want to get things wrong. I'm hella white, and even though I'm willing to do the historical and cultural research to back shit up, I'm afraid of unintentionally offending anyone that knows better.

I'm so sad that this game isn't getting more recognition. I'd play it if I had the technology (and plan to when I get my gaming desktop up and running again)

I really dig the first one, both for giving an option to villainous characters later in the game and maybe lending some interesting events with fear, jealousy, etc. as they come across those angry gods.

NGL though, Lovethulhu made me chuckle. That's kind of a quirky and entertaining plot twist.

Yeah, they may have some worth, but the problems caused outweigh that greatly.

At first I was going to roll my eyes at another 'gods interfering' plot but the one you mentioned for #1 really makes sense in this setting. Kudos for shaking things up!

They all have promise, honestly. I'd love to keep it fantasy-based rather than adding an element of meta. It would be more fun (for me at least) if the 'you're actually in a MMO' plot were a ruse event, meant to snag characters and cast them into doubt some time after they've been established. (Sort of like was done in Red Dwarf!)

The lovethulhu idea would also be really great for a specific town along the way; something nasty's been working in tandem with the existing gods rather than directly against. A great pit stop/throw characters off track in order to solve the problem and grow their powers sort of event that could last between two and three months from initial arrival, to finding out what's going on, to figuring out how to defeat it, maybe?

And for towns and locations, I'd never say no to some kind of fiery/'spicy' location, though I have little more beyond that save perhaps it's a location that people have gone to in the past to spice up tepid relationships and sex lives. It's not exactly serious but it seems like it could be kind of on the nose.

like, there's a number of subs i visit -- health-related, skincare/make up-related, it literally never comes up

actually the video game subs i go to don't tend to have it crop up either because people are too busy talking about character combos/strategy, the closest i've encountered was a bit of whining a few years back for my favorite yt group's sub when a handful of neckbeards were whining about the team adding a girl to their roster. they were shut down fast and hard by both the creators and the community, it was great.
