"cw; issues of consent, sexual irresponsibility, unsafe sexual practices"

how pa do you even have to be

how is it pa? honest question

im assuming pa stands for passive aggressive here, aka explicitly claiming everything is great while being performatively miserable until people give you what you want without requiring a direct confrontation or asking for it

like the warning seems a little over the top to me but better to overwarn than underwarn and it has nothing to do with what I understand as pa behavior?

They're talking about how the couple had sex without a condom, and they put a trigger warning for unsafe sex practices. As in, they're saying sex without condoms is so terrible of a thing that it might trigger people into having bad flashbacks.

That does seem a little PA to me.

dude it's not unsafe just because they didn't use a condom, it's unsafe because he's physically toxic and prolonged bodily contact gave her radiation poisoning

also it says CW, not TW - literally 'content warning'. content warnings aren't just for triggers, they're a heads up to anyone who would prefer not to read that content.

I think the addition of 'consent issues' is pushing it a little, but since he clearly didn't figure out what risks she would would actually be exposed to and since she didn't have the opportunity to make a fully informed choice about them, I can see why they figured better safe than sorry

I'm pretty sure it's not PA if only because Murder and the other player are obviously friends and have discussed this one out beforehand.

Murder was the one who suggested warning.

After being called out for not marking her own shit, yeah. Look at how long it took them to add these warnings. They only came when people started having issues with the lack of warnings.

as a survivor of sexual assault, i would be pretty fucking pissed if someone labeled my consensual sex as sex with consent issues because there were unintended consequences

I think the "consent issues" idea comes up more in Megamind's response to it all.

+1

Not just Megamind's though, Murder is having both of her characters imply there was no consent.

it doesn't say non-con though, just consent 'issues'

and disclosure is generally a consent-related issue

in this specific case, the consequences were unintended but pretty dang forseeable and it was wrong for him not to give her the heads up, just like somebody with a potentially harmful STD ought to warn partners - and remember, she's from before radiation was even discovered, so it's not like she had a way to know what she was getting into in terms of the effects of radiation

if murder were labeling it non-con that would be super inaccurate and out of line, but 'issues' is vague and makes sense given the basically consensual but kinda messy circumstances

dont get me wrong, murder has done all kinds of shitty things, but I don't think erring on the side of warning a little too much is really one of them
