rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

Flat | Top-Level Comments Only

Tag out. Tag out a lot. Tag out a lot to a wide variety of people, particularly other LCWs and people from smaller casts. Go to other people on CR memes and plotting posts. Make plans, organize things, and follow through. Do not rely solely on top-level posts or comments to bring people in - go to them yourself.

You don't have a cast to fall back on. Unless you happen to hit one of those fandoms that everyone loves but nobody plays from, you won't have canon hype to get people excited for your character. You won't be able to coast on general popularity, so you'll have to do some legwork to show that you're fun, your character's interesting, and you can be counted on for decent, lasting CR.

LCWs can be popular. The most popular character in my main game is actually an LCW from a pretty obscure canon, but they did a lot of tagging around and plotting and being generally enthusiastic before they got there.
