Okay

Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

i've always liked the idea of a FF based game. except i don't know a good way to describe what i mean with this except i think this is a bit too broad.

the idea in theory sounds interesting and having people able to choose from all FF worlds powers wise leaves a lot of options. sometimes having so many options is too much and can be really overwhelming. especially if you take into account people who aren't too canon familiar and find themselves feeling like they have to do a whole ton of research on the subject.

that's my two cents on it at least.

maybe, if i only took the options people mostly know? 6,7,8,9,10,13?

i think that's heading in the right direction! but then you run into another problem there too. the ff series does deal with powers widely differently with a lot of its installments. but they still are very similar to each other in certain ways because they're still all a part of the same series. (ex. firaga, cura, esuna, etc.)

personally, i think it would be a good idea to dwindle down which series have powers the most similar to each other, then decide between them which ones are the most varied and unique between each other. that way you can offer a simple explanation for those who aren't canon blind, but still leave the options varied.
