then wait until the game is securely in new modly hands before unveiling your private sandbox

sure, there would probably still be a healthy amount of wank, but lbr. putting up a stepping-down announcement out of the blue directly after an app round? leaving new and old players alike uncertain of the game's future? and then announcing an invite-only sandbox duplicate and citing excessive player involvement as the reason for leaving the original, all in one post and one day?

there might not be any way to avoid wank with this sort of situation, but they really could have cut down on at least half of it with a bit of common sense and sensitivity. now a portion of the box's playerbase is highly embittered, and the life of the game is up in the air; if they'd just waited for new mods before announcing all the other shit at least players wouldn't have to deal with that uncertainty alongside all the other shit. gotta blame the mods on at least a couple of levels here

but ah well this popcorn tastes great and it's a lovely show to spectate from afar, at any rate

but idk there's some pretty vindictive people out there. anons routinely confess to shitstirring in games that aren't even theirs all the time, guro spam is just the next step up
