Rundown:
rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.
Rules:
Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

(Anonymous) 2014-03-30 09:43 pm (UTC)(link)I kind of like the Spivak pronouns, though. They're formed by dropping the "th" from the singular they/them/their, and actually seem to fit in with the language. They're easier to say.

(Anonymous) 2014-04-01 04:58 am (UTC)(link)Though my preference is still for singular they. It follows an already existing convention within the English language. It's a very natural construction that people tend to use unconsciously. (Just see that image going around tumblr where a person declares they will only use he or she to refer a person, but then uses singular they.) And I just don't get why otherwise progressive people seem to be so dead-set on following a rule laid down by some long dead 18th century grammarian. I guess to justify their desire to make sparkly, unpronounceable pronouns.
I admit that at my most snarky, I bust out the thou/thee/thy pronouns with those people. If they wanna be archaic and unreasonable about English... two can play at that game.
