...Seriously, just deal with it. Someone else wants to play a character that someone else doesn't want to anymore. It's not "erasing" the previous player from existence. Don't be petty.

Wow I am not even taking this personally. But if it was me, I'd probably be pretty upset if someone jumped on it several hours if I dropped. Most people would say the same.

If someone drops, deal with it. If you drop because you don't have the voice or lose interest or get too busy, be prepared for someone else who is enthusiastic to pick up the character. This character does not belong to anyone. Someone wants to play them. Let them play, and get your reactive crap out of RP.

I'd be a little upset. That's human.

But I won't make it a big deal because it's not. If I dropped a character, I'd be doing it for a reason. If I drop a character and then realize I didn't want to do it after all, but someone else had reserved, that's just a consequence of a choice I make, and it's not even a serious consequence. I can't still have fun RPing other characters or that character in a different place.

Something to think about: what if the reason the person dropped was because the cast or game at large was basically ignoring them? Perfectly decent posts getting overlooked, things like that. They drop, feeling unwanted, then all of a sudden, someone else picks up the exact same character. I've seen this be the case before, and I've seen it be completely harmless as well.

how is that the reserver's problem? it's not their fault the cast sucked. not everything is a grand conspiracy. sometimes it can be, rarely, but you need a slap in the face if it's your default wolf cry.
