Some people need breaks from RP where hiatusing doesn't cut it. Temporary drops are like stress-relievers in such a case, because you don't have to worry about tags and activity quotas when officially out the game, but can always play again when you're ready and have an app available.

Lots of people in this game LOVE Shocky, including myself, and I can't speak for them all, but I'll always welcome her back whenever she's ready to play again.

EXACTLY THIS. I know I had to do it a couple of times in the past, and hell, I KNOW I am not the only one who has had to.

Sometimes, people just have to, and if they come back quickly... guess what? It's their business.

That seems really passive-aggressive to people who do think your squatting was a problem. I like you, Amanda, and I'm not happy with the people who took it here to complain, but you don't have to act like that. Especially when I think this was a legitimate problem.

Er, because of the complaints that you're too invested in Homestuck to do anything about Smash, I mean. That makes it seem like you're referencing that. Should have clarified, sorry!

It's really nigh impossible to determine connotation from text doubtlessly, so I'm unsure if this is sarcastic or not. (The only reason I'm thinking it is, is because Catherine's not a fad. At all. And it's blatantly not a fad [in Smash].) So if it is sarcasm? Disregard everything below.

I actually wouldn't call Drakengard a fad. That's a flattering thing to say, but it's not accurate. (You may be a little too kind here.) Most people have never even heard of the game.

As far as I know [and can tell, and have heard], any interest taken in Drakengard (in Smash) that was not there before was either due to my portrayal of Caim, or by how much I talk about it outside of RP.

Considering how obscure the series is and how we have very few players on both DW and LJ, I highly doubt that anyone's going to be rushing in to apply for someone. I assume [in good faith] anyone who does is sincerely interested in the character or the game. Not for any 'fad' purpose.

RP is kinda made of cycles of fads, I've found. They'll be an explosion of interest for a while and then it will die back. Such is the circle of RP life.

That being said, I wouldn't really mind if Drakengard did become a fad. So what if the whole casts apps and then drops in a few months? I'll still be here, playing this grumpy dragon and doing my thing. People can do their things. We can all do our things, RP as we please and life can continue onward.

Pikmin was a fad cast years ago. And now we are left with 2 characters.

I don't know what this Dragon Guard is.

It upsets me that this "Persona" fad is all Persona 4.

I personally like the third game.
