[D] Reading an actual book
Rundown:
rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.
Temporary Change: To reduce the strain on Dreamwidth's servers new entries will go up when a post reaches 3,000. Please refrain from spamming so we can stretch these entries for a little longer. We don't need several threads soliciting photo evidence of body parts, and we already know that we only care about yaoi. Failure to comply will only result in deletions and butthurt. "People may notice site slowdown/cache error pages. We're working on fixing. You can help: finish posts at 3k comments, not 5k or more." - Dreamwidth@Twitter
Rules:
Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

Advice for Turkey?

Re: Advice for Turkey?
(Anonymous) 2013-01-05 07:15 pm (UTC)(link)- Turkey CAN interact with others aside of Greece and Japan, too; he gets along with Egypt decently, and the same went to Iceland (in a way). As long as Greece isn't around, he'll be a loud and hotblooded but basically kind dude. Which takes me to another important point...
- Please, PLEASE remember not to make live and breathe animosity and defensiveness with others, or want to use/abuse other nations. This may have been more accurate when he was the Ottoman Empire, but NOT as the Republic of Turkey: one "recent" strip had him anxious to go into the UN and the being VERY disappointed when somebody else (Croatia?) was chosen. While he's still loud and flashy in his opinions, it's not exactly in his interests to be straighforwardly rejected by the rest. Heck, when speaking to Italy, he's definitely NOT angry that as Chibitalia he stood up to him. So no, even at the times when he was antagonistic, he isn't a card-carrying villain.
- While the fighting with Greece is a good part of his character, it's not ALL of it. The time he fought with him over Japan is pretty different from the time he "bullied" Greece in a Turkish bath; they will never really be at peace, but the animosity has taken a different path. It's not ONLY about punching and beating each other, it can also be about passive-aggressiveness and self-serving memories.
- While Wikis aren't exactly the end and be all of info for obvious reasons, I found the Hetalia Wiki to be rather decent. Here is the page on Turkey himself: http://hetalia.kitawiki.net/index.php?title=Turkey
Hope this helps, nonnie! I'd love to see a Turkey around.
