[D] Reading an actual book
Rundown:
rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.
Temporary Change: To reduce the strain on Dreamwidth's servers new entries will go up when a post reaches 3,000. Please refrain from spamming so we can stretch these entries for a little longer. We don't need several threads soliciting photo evidence of body parts, and we already know that we only care about yaoi. Failure to comply will only result in deletions and butthurt. "People may notice site slowdown/cache error pages. We're working on fixing. You can help: finish posts at 3k comments, not 5k or more." - Dreamwidth@Twitter
Rules:
Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

(Anonymous) 2013-01-02 09:45 am (UTC)(link)Do not use spray unless it specifically says it is for bed bugs. Otherwise, you will only make room for more bed bugs, by killing off the others.
Definitely get rid of all the fabric items in your place, as well as any cardboard. Check your books, check your shoes, throw out anything cardboard or anything that is not glass or plastic. If you have anything made of real wood, porous wood, get rid of it or put it outside for at least a year; go ahead and throw a tarp on it.
Clothing and shoes can be put in a dryer, and it must be run on high heat settings for at least fourty minutes to be safe.
By law, your landlord is required to provide a safe, clean room, so get your copy of your contract and contact them. The sooner is definitely the better. Let your roommates know as well so they can come deal with their things, because just removing it from one room is not going to end it.
Vacuum your carpet as well; God I hope you have hardwood floors or well done tiling. Also pull the faces off your outlets and check in them; if you take a black light to the corners and see something white, those are bed bug eggs.
If you find a bed bug itself, take tape to it. Wrap it up. Squish it. Throw it away.
Anything you remove from that building needs to be wrapped in plastic with no holes in it, unless it is being thrown out. Wash your hands often. Bed bugs also can hide in book bindings, so flip through all of your books as well; if you play cards of any sort, look through them as well.
Bed bugs seriously can get everywhere. Do not leave any place unturned.
